Extremely rude staff member - bar area - nowhere did it say wait to be seat at the bar high tops. No one at front desk. so we seated ourselves as would be expected. We were ordering from the self-help online order system. A young woman came up to us and asked if we had been seated by anyone and said no we had seated ourselves. We explained that when we seated ourselves there was no one there's seating people. nor anyone ahead of us. She told us to leave as we should have waited to be seated - even though there was no one to seat us nor any one ahead of us- a party of 2. Those now waiting had come only after we had sat down for 5-10 minutes. I told her we had been sitting for 10 minutes and she accused me of lying and said we had not been sitting for 10 minutes. it may have been five! The point is there was no one there there before us and there was no one there to see us. had known how long we were sitting there how come, she did not come up to us before other people showed up? She saw me get up with my cane and did not offer any reassurance given that a large crowd had now a turned up since we had seated, which placed us at the back of the line, and with nowhere for me to sit and wait, It was an awful experience she treated us rudely it could've been done entirely differently. I will never go back there. She knew how to make us feel awful and unwanted. It's not all about the food.

Metup with friends here a few months ago. You order food and drinks electronically at the table via your phone. It was good time. Service was great and the food and beers are always wonderful!!

Excellent Wednesday wings, burger, and pork panini. A challenge to find good restaurants in the main line; a breath of fresh air! Beer is excellent as well.

Nice tap room. Great environment and relaxed setting. Great for most occasions. Great beer selection at very reasonable prices. Also a variety of food options...seemingly something for everyone. Seating at bar, counter-height tables and standard tabled seating throughout the space. The brewery vats can be seen toward the back of the space along with some cool decor throughout. There is a store where you can buy merch and their canned beer to go toward the back as well. All staff were friendly and efficient. Lots of metered parking spacing along the main road and in nearby lots. After 6pm is free.

Love this place... Amazing burgers, pricey but you're getting a solid burger. Kids love it too, we usually split one between the two of them. My wife introduced us to Tired Hands and we're becoming regulars here for dinner and icecream across the street.

I'll say it. I don't like craft beer. I like a simple lager. Give me yuengling or tecate, a wheet beer with some fruity flavor. But I can't stand IPAs or pale ales, and most breweries are wasted on me. But I do love Fermentaria! First of all, they have really good lemonade and their iced coffee is incredible, so I can find something good to drink. They also have a nice menu with one of the best smash burgers in the are. It's a double smash with Cooper Sharp, pickles, LTO, special sauce, and comes with a side of really good fries. Last time I was there for lunch I looked around and almost half the people eating were having the burger. Another surprise...the dessert offerings! They make some great whipped cream and it's served with a lot of their desserts. I've had the coconut rice pudding and the berries on a biscuit. Next on my agenda is the coffee pot. The servers are great, water was brought out immediately and they've been very friendly anytime I need something. They have moved to a QR Code ordering system where each table has a custom QR Code you scan on your phone. Takes you to a page where you enter your name/number or email then proceeds to the menu where you can order drinks and food. It has a nice option to keep your tab open if you are drinking. I know some people won't like it, but this is the way of the future and we will be seeing more of it. I'll also note I haven't gotten any spam as a result of using it. I didn't ask but assume they have an actual menu if you don't have a smartphone. My dad wouldn't know what to do with a QR code on his flip phone. They have a nice bar, lots of seating, with high and low tops, and a general store, in an industrial setting with really high ceilings and a view of the beer vats. Not a TV in site which was nice, which makes you look at the interesting artwork. They also have a small outdoor section you access from inside. No dogs, I asked! They currently have a pop up beer garden on west chester pike in edgmont just up the road from the movie theater. Dogs are welcome there!

The Tired Hands Fermentaria is a spacious brewery with really fun hipster vibes going. They have a great selection of beers. While I don't drink much anymore, my friends all really enjoyed the IPAs, especially the flagship IPA. One of my friends lamented that there were no sours on the menu. Ordering was super easy. You scan a code and order online on your phone and they bring you the food or drinks super fast. Our group loved the shishito peppers and sweet potato fries. The peppers were expertly cooked but I did wish there was a little more salt stuck to them rather than sitting on the bottom. Best of all, the bill was super reasonable in the end. They have fair prices for their IPAs, not the $12 beers you find downtown. We brought a board game and hung out for several hours and had a great time. Definitely planning to be back.

Very excited to finally drop a review for Tired Hands Brewing, Fermentaria location! I first became aware of the existence of the brewery at the height of the covid lock down and although I could not get their beer at the time I did develop a mild obsession with their online merchandise store in which I have placed several orders for their shirts and hoodies. But the opportunity at last arrived and I finally got to try some Tired Hands beer! Alien Church was the name of the beer that Steve and I enjoyed and is a New England IPA! This was one of the better beers I have had for this IPA type in a few months. Tropical, sweetness and hoppiness are the flavor features you will pick up with this beer and in texture it is smooth and light. As I said this New England IPA was one of the better ones I've had in recent months and is a far cry from a typical run of the mill New England IPA that a lot of breweries seem to be generating.

Not typically one to review and the handful of times I have been were okay prior, but recently one of the bartenders made my friends and I very uncomfortable. He brought us our beer. He barely spoke and the interaction was odd but fine. Same bartender brought our second round and my friend saw a large tattoo of a machine gun or assault rifle on his arm. We decided to quickly finish our beer and grab food elsewhere. I've enjoyed stopping in when I'm in the area, but this was a concerning experience.

Didn't get to see what the beer & food was like because we were supposed to scan a QR code to see the menu and order. Why? I was there with my boomer parents who were totally befuddled and so was I. I have to enter my name and email address into an app just to get a sandwich and then have you spam me for a hundred years? Infuriating, inconsiderate, and inaccessible to so many. We just walked out.

We used to LOVE Tired Hands. The beer, the food, the fancy dinners. Talking to the workers about the different blends. Now there is pretty much no interaction between the workers and the customers. You scan the menu from the table and then your order comes to you. It's really hard to get anyone to come over and ask questions, and when they do they look annoyed. Our beer came quick, and our food came pretty slowly. We had a show at AMH across the street and had to get our food to go 30 min after we ordered it. It wasn't even that crowded. The food was so greasy and salty. The kicker was the app asking for a 20% tip or more. Seriously, we did most of the work while we were there. I am also anti self check out in the market. I don't work there. I don't want to spend time on my phone if I'm out to eat. I want to interact with the staff and talk about beer. Isn't that what Tired Hands prizes itself on? Their beer? That was the last straw. Never again.

We have come here since it opened, but now it is a disappointment. Gone are the candied bacon cheeseburgers and outstanding beers. The bartenders request you order from the website but warn you it may not work. We spent 7 minutes on the website and as we placed the order it was just a spinning circle. Showed it to the bartender and he took our order. Most beers were new to us besides Alien Church and Hop Hands. None of the 6 beers we tried were above average and one was borderline undrinkable. Lastly we went to the store section to buy some merch. No one was there to take our purchase, so back to the bar to get some help.

Every time we are remotely close to Ardmore, we almost always make a pit stop to Tired Hands to stock up on their awesome and unique beers! We particularly love their milkshake IPAs, and their Aperol spritz-turned beer last summer was a hit in our house! Despite us often picking up their brews, we never actually stopped inside the Fermentaria for grub and drinks until this winter. We were super excited to meet some friends there and get the full ambience! We came on a Saturday evening and waited a few mins for a table for 4, but nothing crazy at all. We were able to order some drinks on their contactless online portal and hang by their shop / waiting area, which was nice. By the time our first round came, our table was already ready! I started off the night with one of their milkshake IPAs (I think it was a fruity one?? It's been a while - I apologize for the late review!!), which of course, was delightful and refreshing. The rest of our party enjoyed their first round as well! We hit our table and were able to notice the space more - the fermentaria is nothing too incredibly special in terms of decor, but it definitely has a homey and true brewery / bar feel. Of course, the focus should be the beer, not the ambience so we thought it was perfect! For eats, they have a small menu, with mostly sandwiches and some shareable plates, all good beer-pairing food. I went for the mushroom grinder, which was quite delicious! It was full of a variety of mushrooms all mixed in a pretty spicy sauce and encased in a robust sesame bun. That, paired with the fresh french fries, was pretty filling! I appreciated them having a vegetarian option in addition to their more meat-forward offerings, so Tired Hands can appeal to multiple dietary needs. Once I finished my first round paired with my sandwich, I went for their "Neapolitan" beer, which had a milkshake IPA on the bottom and and a porter layered on top. This was featured on their in-house menu and was pretty cheap (I think like $5??), so I was intrigued. It was a great way to try both beer varietals, and the presentation was key. I enjoyed this option and was the perfect second beverage. Everyone else really enjoyed their few beers and eats, and we were glad we picked such a conducive place for good drinks, food, and conversation! Overall, we enjoyed our long overdue trip to the Fermentaria! The vibe was fun, and the food was tasty and nicely paired with their excellent beers. We definitely hope to make it back to try of course more beers, especially their summer IPAs and other unique offerings, and more of their food options! Highly recommend to anyone making their way through Ardmore or anyone interested in one of Philly's best local brews!

Perhaps I was too harsh on Tired Hands as a brand all those years ago when I first reviewed them. They do make some great beers, especially their milkshake IPAs. Somehow I like this place better than the smaller Tired Hands brewery down the road, despite the fact that on the surface the brewpub feels like it's more my kind of place. While it's reminiscent of a warehouse, I appreciated that it's less claustrophobic than its sister location. The ambiance doesn't take a hit and this still feels like its own distinct brand. The beers are also still good, despite being told that the beers brewed in the smaller location tend to be better.
