Our wonderful vet Dt.G managed to calm us down and really take time figuring out what was wrong with our 10 year old girl. Diagnostic skills when you are dealing with a senior with multiple problems isn’t easy. Dr.G made it seem easy and thankfully Betty seems to me on the mend. The tech team was polite and our inquiries via text were returned in a timely manner.”

“I have two cats who went to different clinics for their first visit and I can confidently say that World of Animals is the best and most affordable vet clinic in the Philadelphia area. At another place i was upcharged $140 just for exam, while World of Animals was only $90 visit fee. First difference between the clinics I noticed is that World of Animals staff treated my cat like she was the most beautiful girl in the world. Dr Flasik handled my cat with great care and definitely spent more time getting to know my cat than the other clinic did. Also the other place tried to sell me on Hills and gave me a goodie bag obviously marketed by Hills, while Dr Flasik and her team supported my cat's variety wet food diet as long as I brush my cat's teeth. Dr Flasik also took more time and care in addressing any issues or concerns I had about behavior. Overall, the vet and techs are highly knowledgeable about animals. This place truly cares about your pets like they are family, and I would NOT recommend going to a big corporate chain (VCA) even if they offer you a "complimentary exam" like I did for my kitten.”

My only complaint is they do not answer the phone or return messages. After trying to contact them for a couple weeks I had to drive over to schedule an appointment”

“I don't take my dogs to see Dr. Niggemeier often; it's always because they have an orthopedic problem. Every time I do need to go to the clinic, I am very grateful for the kind and knowledgeable care they receive. I don't know how much longer visits in the parking lot are going to go on (they are slightly disconcerting) but I understand the need for precaution these days and if my dogs have to keep being seen in the parking lot, it's worth it to see the doc and staff here.”

“I absolutely love Newtown Square Veterinary Hospital. The doctors and staff are so nice and accommodating. They all genuinely care about each animal they take care of. They squeeze me in last minute if they can and have a couple evening appointments available during the week which is amazing. My toddler is always my side kick and that's never a problem. One of my dogs even had dental surgery there and they watched over him so closely. I really appreciate them and I am super lucky to have found them. They are text friendly too which is also super helpful if I cant get on phone to talk.”

“Back in July, I had to bring my kitty Squash in for a CT scan and liver shunt ligation surgery. Doctor LK was very realistic about the possible risks of the surgery (post op seizures, blindness, etc.), but also let me know that surgery was the gold standard of care to ensure he lives a long, happy, healthy life. Prior to surgery, he was on several medications (up to 9 times a day based on how his medication schedule fell,) on a protein restricted diet and had to have frequent bloodwork due to having consistent elevations in his ammonia levels. He's been 100% medication free for almost 7 months, can now eat all the treats he never got to have before, and as of yesterday, his bloodwork showed his liver enzymes and ammonia levels are in perfect range. I couldn't be more thankful for all of the lovely techs, reception team and Dr. LK for what they did to help my little boy. Since then, Squash has gone from being an only child to having 3 happy, healthy kitty sisters that he adores. He wouldn't be here without you guys. (He also sincerely apologizes to anyone that he tried to bite!)”

I love that it’s a cat only place since I’m not sure how my cat would react to being near dogs in a vet office! “Last Tuesday my pup had surgery to remove a benign tumor at his primary care. That went fine but then Thursday rolls around and he decides to go bananas. The lack of walks and sedation fully wearing off made him into a wild dog. Running back and forth. So much so that it ripped his stitches out. So we're sitting on the couch at about 10pm and see there is blood puddling under his leg. Like any good dog parents we freak out. Normally we would do PenVet but for some reason we called the primaries number after hours. That's how we got directed to VEG. We spoke with the receptionist there and she said bring him on in. So first off this is like no other vet I've been to. You wait right in the middle of the action. It's not like others where you sit for an hour before anyone speaks to you. I was taken immediately back and a nurse came over to me right away. The doctor was going from patient to patient and you could see it all in real time. There was no oh the doctor will get to you later. They gave him a shot and I was able to hold him and keep him comfy on a couch while he passed out. Everyone was more than willing to explain every step and this may be a little too much for others but I watch him get prepped for his stitches. After that I felt like I was being a nuisance even though they assured me I wasn't. He got so relaxed he pooped on the operating table. Once it was finished the nurse was bringing him over and he just started peeing all over the nurse. The nurse said that's been happening all day was not phased. They put him on a bed in front of the couch I was on while he came too. Every one kept stopping to check on him. One nurse even cleaned his ears while we waited. I had mentioned how much he refuses to have it done when awake. You felt the love of the job from the staff. So we left at about 1:00am and 20 minutes of that was him waking up. They told me there is another one opening up in fishtown under the El. Cost was a little over a grand. Given the nature of ER visits That is NOT terrible. Highly recommend this place for emergencies.”

Dr. Reisner was responsive and had a great website to learn more info about services rendered.The wait times across the country are atrociously long (some had wait times of 6-8 months), so I was excited to hear about just a 6 week wait to have my dog be seen.Once I have our appointment, I will update the review. So far, so good though. ? Excited to get support for my little guy.”

The doctor at Bywood squeezed us in for a quick evaluation so he could go over his records and assume authorization on refills. That's compassion. Everyone at the desk is super nice and my only surprise was when I saw the bill and how reasonable the total was. I did some growling under my breath over the years at other vet bills. Bywood is a great find!”
