I went to this salon with my wife just to drop her off but as I walked in the door, the hospitality of the owner was so nice that I ended up staying for a hair cut myself. 2 years later, my wife and I are regulars!

I have been going to Salon Bella Amici for about a year now and I must say, it is by far the best experience I've ever had in a hair salon! From the time you walk through the front door, you get a feeling of calm and relaxation. The charming decor and the friendly smiles are so welcoming. The pricing is right on point and so worth every penny! I receive compliments on my hair often and always refer my family and friends. My cousin as well as best friend are having their bridal party hair and makeup done at Salon Bella Amici this year because they also had a wonderful experience! The owner MaryAnn is wonderful and always makes you feel right at home. I suggest that everyone try this establishment!

I hardly ever write online reviews but this one is a must. And while some time has passed since my 1st (and only) appointment, whenever the topic of bad salon experience comes up in a random conversation, I can't help but think about Bella Amici salon (gag me on the faux Italian reference.) First of all, the reason I even ended up at this "salon" in the first place was because I decided to foray into the world of discounted services aka Groupon. I've had good friends in the beauty industry warning me not to trust a salon that MUST deal with Groupon (why can't they get clients on their own, right?), but I intentionally ignored them in pursuit of $40 highlights. So now the beef: what does $40 gets you at Bella Amici? It gets you partial highlights and a haircut. Is it a quality service? Well, it's a service worth $40, if that. Oh, the other thing that threw me off is the overhelming amount of positive reviews on Groupon alone. Mistrusting much? You betcha. After 5 minutes of scanning through those, my assessment is that most have been written by the same person. Same grammar (or lack thereof), same sentence structure, same language. Don't get me started on the times and intervals that they were posted during. Back to the matter at hand, my highlights were a disaster. They looked like a drunk person was playing with color. Speaking of color, it came out all brassy and on the orangey side and the girl pretended like she didn't see that. Instead, she tried to assure me that they looked spectacular. Rule #1 of good customer service: if a client isn't happy with the color, at least pretend like you care and offer a solution. Will I be back? That shouldn't be hard to figure out.
