Very nice and very quick process getting the car. Got a nice upgrade from the vehicle class that I booked for no additional charge. Small airport very efficient overall.

I needed car seats for my rental car and to my knowledge the only place you could do that is at airport rental locations. The location was a hour away from the cruise ship port, so my brother drove me the hour, while my spouse and kids waited at the port for me to return with the rental. Made a reservation at the Hobby airport in Texas to pick up my rental. When I arrived the line to get in was out the door. I waited 2 hours in line to arrive at the counter and was told they didn't have a rental car for me. Meanwhile at this point, my spouse and kids have been waiting 3 hours outside for me to return. I was in tears at this point, the supervisor said that they would get me a car, but the eta was anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. I made them aware that I couldn't wait an additional two hours when I have 4 kids waiting for me. They finally are able to obtain a car and I make the hour drive back to my family. When I arrive we load the luggage and kids only to find out that the car no longer will start. After waiting on the side of the road for 3 hours, a call to the police department and roadside assistance, we were told the battery was bad and the car couldn't be shut off or it wouldn't start again. We finally arrive at our AirBNB at 9pm, so I could drop the kids off and obtain a new car to go to the airport the next morning. I get the new car only to be 5 minutes from the AirBNB and the tire pressure light comes on. I once again return to the airport to get a new car. The man tells me that my contract has been ended due to returning the car and that I would have to start the process again. At this point it's midnight and I have to be at the airport in 4.5 hours. I complete the process and go to the spot that I was told the car would be at. There's no car in the assigned spot. I go back into the airport and let him know there is no vehicle located in that spot and was told that they no longer have any vehicles in that size. I am offered another vehicle, which I just take because I can't even believe that this is real life at this point. With an hour and a half of sleep after reloading the luggage into another car I have to travel with 4 kids back home. I call customer service and explain all of this and am told they could offer me 22 dollars off my rental, then increase the amount to 44 dollars after I clarify what they are saying is correct, when an entire 12 hours of my day was dedicated to getting a safe car for myself and family to get from point A to B. Avis was clearly not able to provide that the first time around, or second. After making it known that this was not acceptable, they offered a free three day rental OR 44 dollars off my previous rental. I am completely mind blown that a company who was not able to successfully provide the services I paid for provided this poor customer service. Super disappointed.

Beware of extra charges when renting from Avis. On 2 occasions this month, I was charged $21.60 extra after returning my vehicle for refueling, even though I bought gas before returning the car. Since there is no gas station at the airport, the fuel tank isn't filled to the rim upon return, but for sure it is less than a gallon down.DOUBLE CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD CHARGE IMMEDIATELY LOOKING FOR THIS EXTRA CHARGE !!

Easy online booking and friendly staff when you pick up. Drop off was super easy. Even though the Avis counter wasn’t open, they had a drop box to put the key in. Easy peasy

BEWARE!! The owner operator of this AVIS car rental at Wilkes Barre - Scranton (AVP) airport is a thief. She stole over $4500 off my credit card. I'm just now taking action to litigate. Be careful .... this lady will steal from you while smiling at you.

Rented a nice car from Avis. They scammed me when dropping it off by charging me a cleaning fee of 450.00 for what they said was a Smokey smell. I do not smoke and when I got the car it had a smoke smell already. I lived with it for a day and I should not have. Never again! This is how they treat Presidential members. Good luck if you are less than this status. Not happy.

My recent car rental experience was flawless. I picked up a car in Wilkes Barre and dropped it off in Allentown, PA. The person who gave me the car and the person who helped me when I dropped off, were both so friendly and kind. The car I got was easy to drive and got wonderful gas mileage. Everything was perfect and I appreciate being able to drop off the car in another city.Thank you, Avis!

Truly the worst experience - absolute filth. My husband picked the rental up at night and assumed it was good. But I’m daylight it was another story! The rental was dinged and rusty and dirty. Crumbs everywhere and some garbage left in seats. I have a video of how filthy dirty the rental was - a ford expedition which was rusty and aged. If anyone from Avis would like to see it- contact me! Tires also needed attention. I never saw seats so filthy. Looked like someone dug ditches then rolled around in the car. I did my best to wipe the seats down before my children sat in it. Then to top things off Avis charged me $99.99 for cleaning of pet hair!! I didn’t have pets anywhere near the rental in the two days I had it!! I will never rent from Avis again. Renters beware! You’ll need to fight for your money if they have your card on file!

Front desk employee was courteous and professional. The vehicle was clean and fully serviced upon receipt. Really enjoyed driving the KIA SOL. It was fun to drive and enjoyed the fuel economy as well. Overall, it was a great experience using Avis rental. Thank you Avis!

Wish I could give them a 0. Rented with them before. Same way of booking, same card, same age, same place, same location. Refusing to rent to me. Explained that last time I was able to with no issues. They stated since I'm under 25 I would need a credit card. Spoke to manager via phone. Who could only say well since you went through a 3rd party their rules don't apply to us and the info online was incorrect. Was able to return with a credit card (virtual credit card but still a credit card). Was told I'm still unable to get a vehicle because they cannot physically swipe the card. Explained it's a major company, with the CC #, expiration, everything. Still unable to give me my rental. Now stranded at airport by myself.

The car we were given smelled so bad... stale cigarettes. And there were cigarette burn holes in the seats and ceiling. Also there was a loud rattle under the dashboard and the brakes were grinding. The oil change sensor was going off our entire trip. When we called to complain the only assistance they could give is is for US TO DRIVE AROUND AND FIND ANOTHER AVIS TO EXCHANGE THE CAR. ALL OUR LUGGAGE STUNK....WE WERE ON A TIGHT SCHEDULE. AND WERE NEVER EVEN OFFERED ANY INCONVENIENCE. I WILL NEVER USE AVIS AGAIN.

The Owner/Operator of this Avis Location went above and beyond to assure that my rental was seamless and easy. Even after flight complications she stayed late to make sure I was able to get my vehicle and not be stranded at the airport. One of the best experiences I have had when it comes to vehicle rental.

Horrible experience was over charged,never received email for returning rental,service engine light was on the entire time I had rental. Never renting from them again I had to give a star in order to post ...they really should receive a negative 10 for stars.
