I’m a very loyal person when it comes down to services-once I commit to a provider I usually stick with them no matter what. I chose my dogs vets office years ago and after time & time again I left disappointed in my dogs care I finally got the nerve to ask others for a new recommendation on where to go. VCA Bakerstown came highly recommended so last month we made the switch. We are brand new patients there and we just unexpectedly lost one of our dogs and are devastated. They hardly know us here and have been nothing but compassionate and helpful. In a time we needed it most they have supported and cared for us and a 5 star google review doesn’t begin to cover how thankful we are.

Amazing staff! Very caring and patient with my shy malinois. I've only been there once, but I will be going back without hesitation. Also, the pet insurance they offer (care club) pays for itself in spades!

We have had the most amazing experience with VCA Bakerstown. Our dog gets very anxious at the vet, and we had to pull him out of previous vets due to his nerves.VCA (Miss Kylie and Miss Dana specifically) have given so much time and extra attention to our pup during victory visits, regular checkups, and sick visits to make him feel comfortable. He is up on his vaccinations and loves going there now! If there is hope for our pup then there is hope for anyone’s pet. I recommend giving them a try!

It is not a bad vet. I think exam is expensive but my mom got a free exam. They were helpful.

I travel often for work… I’ve always been a loyal customer through VCA since I got my dog 4 years ago. This location was very upsetting to me. First of all, I made an appointment about a month in advance… It was a random Thursday afternoon… I still had to wait about 30 minutes to be seen. This is just ridiculous as there was no one else in the waiting room. In addition to that, the one Doctor Who happened to be pregnant, was really nasty toward my dog. She called her“uncooperative and needy“… My dog is the opposite. When you, as a doctor, poke her with needles…Of course she’s going to freak out and be upset. She showed no signs of bad behavior or aggression… She was just trying to defend herself and get close to her dad! It was such a bizarre experience… I recommend going to a different VCA if you are a VCA customer like me. I will never return back to this location ever again.

VCA Bakerstown has been taking care of our cat for years. We drive from Moon Township just to go here. Their staff cares about not only for the animals but the humans that bring them in! Kind and compassionate care is definitely their specialty!

Wait sometimes is unreasonably long whenever you come at your appointment time, which is inconvenient. Otherwise I’ve been happy with doctors and treatment

If you ever need them for an emergency you better have a backup plan! 4 doctors on site TODAY and not a single one would take an actual emergency for a seizing dog. (Who has NEVER seized before) This was their patient!!! For the last 16 years. They advertise they are"accepting new patients!!!" But can't even handle their long time patients! On another occasion, my small chorkie was bleeding OUT (also their patient) & couldn't be bothered with that visit anyway. They were just too busy! On my way to an actually CARING vet who would see a FIRST TIME EMERGENCY there was not a single car in this parking lot but they were OH so full and couldn't help. They are NEVER there when you NEED them. Every single occasion they have FAILED us. Not to mention their prices absolutely skyrocketed when VCA took over, it’s literal robbery! Same testing done elsewhere costs 1/3 of the price. Look out for your animals because THEY WONT.Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

UPDATE: THEY FIRED US FOR POSTING THIS REVIEW & VOICING OUR CONCERNS ABOUT OUR/YOUR BELOVED PETS IS CONSIDERED "RUDE AND MALICIOUS". It’s the staff here. They are caring, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hospital is clean and well maintained. I’ve been taking my pets there since 2011. The level of care they have received has consistently met my expectations and been in my pets’ best interest. I highly recommend this hospital.

Everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working with here has been knowledgeable, kind, and tolerant of my over protective cat dad tendencies.

Wonderful Vets and Techs, absolutely love taking my Cat here for treatment. They were able to help her get treated, with love. They helped her get back on the right track with what was needed for a treatment plan, as well as making sure she felt as comfortable as possible during the whole process (despite her being blind).

Only had one visit with a new puppy. The staff was busy but attentive. They showed genuine concern over my pups health. We are going back to follow up on shots and a heart murmur.
