Terrible internet, terrible service, just awful experience overall. Only service possible in my area. Pay for 100 mbps speed, receive only a fraction of that. Playing video games or downloading files takes hours even for the smallest of them. My entire neighborhood frequently complains but CenturyLink consistently fails to help.

I have been a CenturyLink customer for years!!! But not because I like the service . The fact of the matter is that I do not have any other reasonable choice in Zion, Bellefonte PA. I pay for the nominal 10 mbps Internet connection but I almost never get that speed. At any given moment I can get anything between 0.5 to 9.5 mbps . I measured the internet speed at the moment of this writing and it is 2 mbps . It is a lousy service but I have no other choice in the 21th Century !

This is the only DSL provider in the Zion area. We can't get anything higher than 25mb and the house next door can only get 5MB. The internet glitches all the time even when only one device is being used.The other alternative is a Telemedia or whatever they're called now and a line that goes down for hours if the wind blows the wrong way or satellite that we can't use if it's raining.There is no excuse for bad lines in rural areas.
