From the moment I stepped foot onto the property at Hill Store Guest Cottage & Event Place, I felt like I had been transported back in time. This charming restored general store, built in 1853, offers a truly unique and cozy lodging experience.
The attention to detail is impeccable. The cottage is filled with original artifacts and decor that give it a genuine historic feel. It's like staying in a living museum! The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the kitchen is well-equipped for those who enjoy cooking.
But it's not just the cottage that makes this place so special. The surrounding area is equally enchanting. Located in the heart of "Big Valley," you're surrounded by Amish communities, wineries, antique stores, and farmers markets. Nature enthusiasts will love exploring the nearby state parks and forests, which offer hiking, fishing, swimming, and mountain biking opportunities.
If you're planning an event, Hill Store Guest Cottage & Event Place also has a spacious event center that can accommodate up to 50 people. It's the perfect venue for birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, or corporate events.
Overall, my stay at Hill Store Guest Cottage & Event Place was absolutely delightful. It's a hidden gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable lodging experience.

Stayed in the Greenwood House and thoroughly enjoyed it! Tom and Ann are wonderful hosts, and the facilities exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this place and these sweet people.

Best place we have ever stayed! Ann and Tom are awesome! The loft was so welcoming and the history was very interesting! The valley is beautiful! My advice is make the trip and stay here! If you live close by reserve the store for every event you have!! So glad we stayed here it made us want to move and be neighbors with Ann and Tom! Oh and check out the winery close by.

Hill Store Guest Cottage is a true gem! The cottage is cozy and charming, but what really makes it special are the hosts, Ann and Tom. They are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, they made us feel like part of the family from the moment we arrived. Their genuine hospitality and thoughtful touches make for a truly memorable stay. Highly recommended for a warm and inviting stay in the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside!

We had a lovely visit and Ann and Tom are both wonderful! The room easily fits a family and is right in the center of town. It's the details that made the difference - the labelled rooms upon arrival, the notes upon departure, the ability to suggest specific activities for our family during our stay.

We had a late summer getaway last year and stayed here for a weekend. It was an absolutely lovely stay from start to finish! From the handwritten welcome note, local treats and beautiful homey cottage to the extremely hospitable hosts with answers to all our questions, we felt at home instantly and pampered throughout. My daughter has asked when we can go back and we hope to do so this summer!

Very cozy nostalgic atomosphere. Very clean and had everything needed for our celebration. A little crowded, but it was fam and friends so no prob.
