“Paul very helpful. Genuine man, Enjoys knowing his customers' beer preference. Not a consistent or regular customer but he remembered my purchase and conversation from months past. Amazing! Rare and uniquely positive experience while shopping for a new IPA beer or other..”
“Awesome non-alcoholic options! I bought a bottle of NA wine to celebrate a birthday and it was both delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning soon”
“Wow. Beer nerds, I have found a gem for you. This is the best variety I've ever found, let alone in such a small place. Skill level expert. The first cooler as you walk in is full of craft Pennsylvania beer. The interior shelves hold a delightful and thorough variety of imports and other craft finds. The owner even invites you to make requests. Seriously, I was just passing through and may have never realized this place existed. You're doing yourself a favor if you make a point to stop.”
“Born and raised in PA so the State Store is all I've known. Clean, professional and reliable. My only complaint is the silly and bad liquors don't make the cut. I like some random wacky stuff to mix it up. That's their problem is the selection is only good things, nothing weird and gross! LOL”
“I love this place and the staff. If for some god awful reason it is gone before I return to Pittsburgh, I'm gonna burn something down. It'll probably just be a candle, a white one, and unscented since funerals/wakes never seem to use scented candles.
They know their wine/beer well and have a good selection.”
“Hartwood Beer is amazing! It’s so well-organized and the gentleman working was extremely kind and helpful. When the flavor of beer I wanted didn’t come in a 6-pack, he was nice enough to open a box and sell me 6 cans. I will definitely be returning!”
“Best prices, best service.
Edit: I made this review a while ago but wanted to reiterate that this place is the only place to go for your beer needs. Prices are fair, service is exceptional. Management has made this place an 11 out of 10. Great job and continued success always. See you soon.”
“Absolutely massive selection of craft beers, great store and easy to get to. Prices are decent, a little on the high end but expected. Worth the stop if you have the time”
“When I lived in Bellevue this was my go to. I know it has changed ownership as of the past few years but it seems to continue to run smoothly. Its a simple and reliable spot, they are open late-ish which helps also. Later the better but overall it's what you would expect from a drive through Distributor. I recommend.”
“Love this place! They have the best selections, great prices and awesome customer service. You can also get an alcoholic slushie to go and they do not disappoint!”
“Well Let's put it this way, I live in Butler and its well worth it to drive down to Dave's. They always treat me well, the prices are right and always will load my vehicle. Great Place for all your Beverage needs!”
“The Lindenwood Distributing is a great place to get your beer at, they have a great selection of beer there and the employees are very nice guys, try them out you'll be glad you did.”

“As I get older it seems like I visit the liquor store more and more! LOL. My favorite wine and spirits store is this one in McIntyre Square. They are always well stocked, and they seem to have the most chairman select options on sale there. From my wife's box wine to my choice of Jack Daniels they have it here. Like the Village Of Pine location, they used to have wine tasting times but since covid I don't think they've brought that back. However, this location I recommend for all your liquor purchasing needs”
“This place is an absolute gem! Whether you’re into local craft brews, rare imports, or just want something new to try, they’ve got it all. The selection is top-notch—well organized, always fresh, and constantly rotating in new options. The staff actually knows beer and is super helpful if you’re not sure what you’re in the mood for. I’ve discovered some of my new favorites just from their recommendations! Small town, local business, family owned and operated- places like these are the best, and I’m always happy to support them! Give them a try!”
“Joe’s (the owner and the business) are wonderful! We live out of state, but anytime we’re in town and stop in he’s got what we need and he is such a nice guy!”

“Went in pre thanksgiving to find very busy store. Salespeople were incredibly helpful and even took my purchase to my car to put it in my trunk (granted, it was heavy and I am a little old lady LOL!). Perfect customer service!”

“Great store. Huge selection of wines and spirits here. From all the mixers to the accents. Your next occasion will be off right after a visit here. The staff is friendly and helpful. Wish they were all like this. I recommend this store for anyone looking to quench a strong thirst.”
“They have so many drinks to choose from. There is literally something for everyone. I was having a hard time picking what I wanted. It was nice go try some drinks I have never had before. I can’t wait to go back!!”
“I swear the nicest people work here. Everyone is informative and the manager (I should have gotten her name) recommended me an excellent new vodka. The renovations also look great!”
“The employees here are sooo nice!!!! They’re always asking me if they can help me bring stuff to my car, putting my cart away for me, and asking if I’ve found everything okay. They’re also really pleasant when they check me out at the register. I love coming here.”
“So good! I appreciate that they have Arsenal all over the city, but nothing like trying all the variety at the cider house itself. I love the drier stuff and the broken hearts was a winner for me. My partner got a ginger one and that was also delicious. Friendly staff and nice cozy place. Outside was spacious and we were lucky enough to snag a spot by the fire pit. A Pittsburgh must.”
“My favorite liquor store in Las Vegas, now here in Pittsburgh. The prices are still very competitive and they have good deals on seasonal liguor.Store employees are all pleasant and helpful.”
“Nice staff, great selection. I love how they sell singles of craft beer, it’s great. I just wish the singles were priced a little lower, some of the local beers are 8.50 a piece which is just too much.”
“Great place. Due to my inability to carry my order. The clerk " a lovely young lady" offered to pack up my order and place it in my car. I only had to park my car in front of the store. Now that is what I call service!!”

“Great staff a young man recommended Ghost Pines to me as I was searching for Merlot, it was more than I wanted to spend, but I’m very glad I bought it because it is delicious. Great prices also in a nice selection.”
“I wanted to take a moment to thank TJ for her wonderful service and sweet demeanor on a evening as busy and today. Even though its the day before the Thanksgiving and the store was packed, she met everyone with a warm smile and took the time to help find exactly what I needed. Definitely a wonderful experience.”
“Great store! Easy location with parking. First time realizing that there is a Fine Wine & Good Spirits in this little strip mall. We've lived in the area about a year now, so this was a nice discovery. I am glad that PA has State Run stores. When we lived in Seattle, they had them as well, the prices were very reasonable. But, the younger crowd demanded that it be sold in grocery stores up until 1AM. The prices doubled, it was under lock & key, due to constant theft. I enjoy the selection of spirits and they range in price from reasonable to special ocasion. The staff here is also very nice; I don't honestly recall ever being in a store where the staff didn't at least great you as you walked in.”
“Was a decent place to get beer until a manager told me to leave after I questioned his decision to sell beer that went from cold to warm after their fridges went out. He called me elitist for saying I write beer reviews. Not sure how you can be elitist for that, but okay. I did a bit of research on this subject after the manager responded (which was nice of him) and I stand partially corrected. It turns out that beer can go from cold to warm and not get 'skunked,' but in my experience--and many others'--there's a taste difference after going from cold to warm that's notable. It wasn't exactly cold in the shop; it was warm. But I'll err on the side of saying I have learned something from this exchange and I'll adjust my rating accordingly.”
“Great selection, and the fact that you can take your child with you and both walk out happy (myself with beer, them with pokemon cards) is outstanding. A+ in all aspects.”
