This place has went downhill over the years. I went here for repairs and found my speakers here but now they don't do repairs (at least when I asked last year) and without telling on their site I used my day off to visit and its appointment only. There is no signs anywhere saying it.

My first visit to Quest for Sound was a great experience. They guys are super friendly and very helpful. I'm just getting back into the vinyl game and they we really great helping me out and spending time with me. I would recommend this place over the big box stores any day. I have been purchasing my gear from Stephen Monte at Quest for Sound for many years and have been totally satisfied with his expert advice and many lines of equipment, especially his full line of KEF speakers. Stephen Monte the owner is very knowledgeable and honest in his advice. He listens carefully and then will help you make the correct selections. The majority of his costumers are repeat and have been coming to him for years. In addition to having wonderful equipment at his disposal he is a very capable technician and adept at repairs. He has performed modifications on my receivers and speakers along with performing maintenance on an older CD players that was getting temperamental in reading discs. I only have the highest regard for Stephen and his shop Quest for Sound.

I live in NYC and will travel the 1 hour and 40 minute trip to shoot the breeze with Stephen. I brought my Rogue Audio tube pre amp in because it was acting funny after 12 years. (how dare it?!) Stephen and his gang kept it and cleaned it and bench tested it and found it was still playing flawlessly and quietly. Nothing but praise for these honest guys who didn’t gouge me.

I brought my Consonance Amp in for repair with a burned out rectifier and Steve fixed it and also swapped out a pair of tubes. Now it sounds better than when I first got it !! Excellent and friendly folks - I could spend hours sitting at the store comparing amps and speakers. Thank you Steve!!
