In comment to your response, all I will say is it is exactly what I expected. Shaffer's Transfer and Moving movers are the ones who told ME about the damage to the hutch, so they were aware of it. So, it should have been documented on their paperwork. So, that is something that they should have made you aware of and after the long and unfortunate day with these individuals I just wanted them to leave. I do know I would not have given a $150 tip if I knew the TV was broken. Because they just stacked a lot of the items inside the garage, I did not find that damage till the next day. After the bad service that I was provided, I honestly did not want to deal with Shaffer's Transfer and Moving ever again. So I did not contact the business about the damage to my TV. I mean nothing else that Shaffer's Transfer and Moving provided was honest so I figured that would not be either.Nothing about the experience was good and just very disappointed that people take advantage of other people in the way I was taken advantage of. Just a very unfortunate situation. But in the land of moving companies I guess customer satisfaction is not important because most people do not move more than once. I am sure that return business and referrals are not something that happens a lot so as long as Shaffers Transport and Movers can squeeze every penny out of the current customer they are satisfied.

Very responsive. Used them for a very small / short appliance move. They worked with my schedule and managed to muscle the refrigerator in with no damage.

We had them move us last week. They did a fantastic job and even took inventory of what the were moving. Worth every penny not to struggle moving boxes and furniture.

This company cannot be trusted. If you hire them, make sure you watch how they pack your belongings. The company that unpacked our van said it was one of the worst packing jobs they had seen. Although we provided the movers with an endless amount of blankets and bubble wrap, the two men did not use very much of it. The worst part was the unwrapped flat screen tv was found hanging, unwrapped, from my grandmothers, now damaged, rocking chair. Glass mirrors and shelves were leaning on the metal floor unwrapped and extremely heavy boxes were placed on top of fragile boxes (labeled fragile). So much damage and scratches to our furniture.

First off, let me start by saying the move was scheduled for 9am on a Saturday morning. I was called an hour beforehand and told that it would be postponed due to ice on the roads. It was 34 degrees out. Check the roads myself they were fine. OK whatever. I come to find out there is a large chunk taken out of my $2,000 dresser and I'm missing 2 plants, earrings (which I told the guys specifically to my jewelry box into my car which they ignored). Get a call from my landlord and there are still tons of boxes in the attack. My $150 cat tree is completely destroyed. Great job guys! I trusted these people way too much. It took them 5 hours to unload the old house and only 2 to load the new... hmm.. wonder what they were doing that entire time? Lesson learned. Beware, should you decide to hire these people. Next time I will hire a more well known moving company. Come to find out - they will travel to our area.
