Very good spot for all kinds of exercise, classes, swimming, basketball and pickleball. Conveniently located by the High School. Lots of parking.

Thank God for Google review —-just saved me a lot of time, and now I will find a YMCA that deserves to be open.

This gym is one of the cleanest I've ever been to. It's reasonably priced, there is support for low income, the trainers are amazing and I feel like the staff actually cares. The classes offered are varied and most are included in the normal fee.Even when it's busy, there is plenty to do and space to move can't recommend it enough.

Signing up for a class stinks. There were 4 spots opened. I went to sign up at 11:00 and all spots full. This happens all the time.

they HAVE to do something about the exhaust in the ice rink (other than that it was very nice and clean!)

My daughter (6 yrs old), just finished up a round of private swim lessons with John and he was excellent! In just two short hours she is so much more confident in the pool. The whole time she felt safe and had a lot of fun. She's already asking when we can come back for more lessons. Thanks John!

I belonged to the Y for the summer. The location was clean, well equipped, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although I cancelled my membership and now go a more convenient gym, my experience at the Spencer Family YMCA was great and I would recommend!

This YMCA is very clean and everyone that I have encountered is friendly. I signed my daughter up so she could swim laps in her off-season and it’s nice you can schedule on your phone on an app. I would definitely recommend their amenities. Also it is only $22 for a monthly membership for children ages 12 to 18.

This ymca has so much potential but unfortunately there have too many restrictions for the cost. We signed up for swimming lessons which has been fine although it’s only 30 minutes and the kids do not want to get out of the pool. However there is no choice to stay and reinforce their newly learned skills because the pool is closed due to other lessons. When im able to get a reservation for 1 hour of swim, I’m lucky. This can only be reserved 1 hour a day and sign up for sessions are not until 24 hours prior to event. Typically 4 families are allowed to swim at once total. We don’t really use the y for anything else so 70$ a month is a little steep just for an hour at the pool once a week. (We don’t live exactly right down the street) Swimming Lessons Is extra $$. Then the last time we were swimming on a Saturday afternoon, my kids wanted to have the sprinklers turned on in the pool they talked about it all morning but we were told since there was an instructor giving a personal lesson that we couldn’t. She ended up teaching for our whole hour there. I don’t feel like that’s fair to be paying for the use of facilities but still Have so many restrictions. Then l actually saw and heard the young life guards mocking me for asking about the pool sprinklers. Very disappointing! I have postponed my membership and will see if the scheduling situation has returned to precovid Ways in a couple months

Free weight area is entirely too cramped. No room to move and you’re on top of each other. No room to deadlift and no benches are two to three feet apart at most.

I gave them two stars due to a very positive start. I had wonderful interactions with the first two ladies at the front desk. Both were super helpful and very kind. The reason I went so low was due to a severe lack of professionalism and an absolutely rude trainer. Upon my enrollment for the YMCA, I was told I could have a 30 minute one-on-one with a personal trainer. I had my time set for 11-11:30. The trainer did not arrive until 11:20 and upon arrival, she got right into it. She didn’t even apologize for being so late. She did not ask about my specific gym experience, what I wanted/needed to work on, she just started in right away. I at least thought she would have asked me what I wanted to focus on or my experience level. When I said I needed to leave “early” (at 11:45 as I had other appointments , I got a very sour reaction from her. When I cancelled my membership due to joining for the classes (which a few were taught by her and I did not feel that I would do well), the person I talked to was very dismissive of my poor experience which only made me want to leave that much quicker.Maybe this will work for other people, but it certainly did not work out for me.
