The Sun Inn is the best kept secret in town. The building is beautiful and well kept and the food is great. They had a special Valentine's Day menu still available for the weekend after Valentine's Day which was super helpful to those of us who work during the week. They always think of everything!!

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Tavern at the Sun Inn. It's a very interesting historical experience upstairs in the dining area with excellent food and service. They have a museum on the main level and a number of historic American flags downstairs in the tavern area. I highly recommend this restaurant.

2 couples for dinner. Local to Bethlehem and have been to just about every restaurant downtown. Was looking for a place we had not been to and figured we would give it chance. Very underwhelming, we were fortunate to have a good waiter but definitely could tell there was a wide range of skills between wait staff. Menu presentation was cool idea in the wooden boxes but terribly hard to read and is a ton a pages to flip through. Food was just ok, no one terribly impressed with their meal. Drinks were pretty good. Box is checked for this restaurant.

Had a great time with my wife on Valentine's Day. The food was fantastic. The four course dinner was just the right sized servings. Good value for the quality of food and service. Great historical place too.

I enjoyed the ambience. The weight staff was very attentive, and the food came out. Perfect timing I had the crabcakes. It was very good, wasn't a fan of the barley. My partner had the filet mignon and it was excellent. He said we started off with the Aji tuna, which was very good, and then we had the rocket salad which was excellent. The drinks were good too.

Excellent service, the food was fantastic! Great ambiance. The colonial atmosphere was really cool. We are definitely going back. We are absolutely interested in booking one of the museum rooms!

We have dined here several times and always enjoy the food and colonial atmosphere. Our server, Alison was wonderful- attentive, upbeat with a lovely smile each time she came to our table on a very busy Saturday evening. Our only complaint was the noise level. There was a loud party in the room next to ours so we had a difficult time conversing - good thing we have been married 40 years! This would have been a disaster if it had been a first date. We will definitely be back but not on a Saturday night.

Sun Inn is one of our go to restaurants, we love their peasant roll (lobster roll), their burgers are delicious and our meal during restaurant week did not disappoint. Yes the place is a bit noisy, but it is an historic 18th century building that as much as possible has been kept true to the time period preceding the Revolutionary War. We love having a meal there.

The food was delicious with reasonable portion sizes. The pace of the food could have been better; our main courses were delivered as we were still finishing our salads. The staff needs to be better trained with managing multi-course servings especially during restaurant week that highlights multi-course meals. The other issue is that the room was simply loud with the chatter from the other diners.

Went for Restaurant Week and the prifixe menu. Food and service were outstanding. Nice atmosphere, and character of the building. Reasonably priced for the times. Would recommend, and will go again. Parking garage nearby and only $1 for two hours.

We visited the SunInn restaurant during Bethlehem restaurant week. We had a wonderful meal. I had the Rocket Salad: arugula, dried onions, shaved mushrooms. My wife had the spinach salad with candied pecans, roasted beets and goat cheese. We both had the beef Wellington, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts. We split the cheesecake and the raspberry crumb cake for dessert . Everything was outstanding. Food, service, and atmosphere.

My friend and I decided to check out the Sun Inn for brunch during restaurant week. We enjoyed a tasty lunch which we choose from the restaurant week offerings; the regular menu was also available. The original Sun Inn has been around since the 1750s. The chairs were very comfortable. We were very pleased and most likely will return.

The food was pretty good, however the selection was minimal. There were only four entre choices. Service was not as attentive as I like. There was a poetry event going on that caused a lot of noise in the room next to the room we were in.

Sat in the bar area and the noise level was so loud that it was difficult to hear the waiter, who also apologized for the noise level. The bartender appeared to be part of the noise level issue! The service was excellent as was the drink and food quality! An excellent value for such an historic place! High recommended sitting in the main dining area. Will visit this venue again!

We have dined here before and enjoyed ourselves very much. This time, we had a small issue with the noise from large party seated with us in the smaller of the two dining areas. The staff were very accomodating in relocating us to a more suitable area. We again enjoyed a very hearty meal with great ambiance in the heart of downtown Bethlehem!
