Terrible! Want a dog? This is the place for you. All you need is to be 18 and and work a good long time to save up a few thousand dollars and you can get one here. No background check, no references needed, who cares what kind of place these dogs are even going to as long as this pet store gets paid, you get your puppy.Dear Brookside... we are a good home and you are lucky this time but your policy needs to change! Rescues, shelters etc. have a much stricter policy. I am disgusted!

I bought a puppy July 7th and 5 days later on the 13th he showed symptoms of an ear infection, diarrhea and cough. This pet shop has been giving me the run around for 2 months and refuses to reimburse medical bills for 2/3 huge health conditions that began 5 days after purchase! They only reimbursed $127 for ear infection while I have paid $3,000 in medical bills to cure his bacterial respiratory infection and gastrointestinal parasitic infection. (which took 2 months to cure)The pet shop informed me that i cannot request reimbursement for symptoms if there is no cure/diagnosis... so i only requested for the ear infection. A few weeks later i had a diagnosis for his diarrhea and cough and the owner (Shawn) said that the store rep misinformed me and asked that i send all the medical notes/bills in person in order to rectify this issue. But today she is telling me its past the 10 days and she cannot do anything... they are scammers!!!!!!I sent all the paperwork in-person like she asked and after 2 weeks of trying to locate her, she called me screaming, blaming the vets for misdiagnosing him and calling me a liar about previously calling the pet shop who gave me misleading information. She was upset that my puppy's symptoms took so long to cure, she said he shouldn't have been given a weaker antibiotic for the cough before the stronger one that cured him. She also said his parasitic giardia infection has nothing to do with the diarrhea he had since i got him.... she pretends to know more than the vets and blames everyone to avoid taking responsibility. She continued to say nothing can be done since it took weeks for a diagnosis after she told me symptoms before the 10 days were enough. Everyone there gives different information and then the owner pretends to rectify the issue before attacking you!She hung up on me after screaming at me the entire time. I will be taking legal action... DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM BROOKSIDEPUPS! Shawn does not care about their clients or puppies.

We found our little Roxy two weeks ago. The staff was super helpful in explaining the breed , temperament, and her eating schedule. The lady made sure we understood how to administer vitamins, that she also provided. There was no pressure at anytime to purchase a dog. They were all well taken care of and in a clean environment. What amazed me the most was how well adjusted our new pet was. I did some fast reading to learn about Pomeranians so I would know how to take the best care of her Everything I was reading was showing me that she must have had the best care from birth up. Loud noises did not startle her; She was adjusted and comfortable around other animals and children; when I went to start brushing her and clipping her nails she obviously was used to having it done. She is now 16 weeks old and we are working on potty training. I can’t thank the staff at Brookside enough for all the professionalism that we received. We are already so in love with our new baby.

We purchased a Corgi puppy through this location. The woman at the front desk was very polite, patient and friendly. The dogs all looked like they were taken care of. We did do the financing which that was a little bit of a pain but had nothing to with Brookside themselves. The only complaint I would have is one of the employees was using a shop vac to clean out the individual dog areas with all the dogs in that area. They went nuts. Even the little guy we got he absolutely hates the vacuum so thinking that didn't really help and felt bad for the dogs being confined with that going on. Other than that I felt it was a positive experience and our family loves our new addition.

Love the dogs and prices are definitely lower than I've seen elsewhere. We got a corgi and he seems extremely healthy and playful.I wish they would stop cutting tails and ears on all animals but other than that I'd recommend going here. The trims just need to stop everywhere so I have nothing negative to say about this location would return.

DO NOT BUY YOUR DOGS from a mill!!!! They abuse and Treat the dogs like trash. Do some research please!!!! They treat the animals like they have no feelings... Feel no pain.... Like they are just a dollar sign. I have fostered so many dogs these animals leave stranded!!! Check facebook for reputable breeders or rescues. So many animals need a loving home. Until we stop buying from these monsters they will continue to do this

I never felt pressured to buy anything from them and that's something I really appreciate. I got my puppy Ophelia a week ago and its going great, she's very healthy. My only complaint is that for the price of the puppy maybe they should do light potty training, at least on puppy pads, and I think outside time would do the puppies some good, for potty training experience and exercise, while I do understand its part of the process to train your own puppy, I just think for the price maybe a tad bit of training would be appreciated. Other than that its great!

Dog were in filthy crates prices 1800 to 2500.. dogs do not look healthy... NO windows.. No outside accesss every dog is penned with a little but of bedding that looks like its for a hampster. The fact that uour workser look like they live in your facitlity makes it even worse to me....This is despicable way of caring and managing animals.... the property on the outside is run down fence is falling apart..Why is this acceptable to you the owner

The staff at brookside pups are super helpful! I told them what I wanted and they listened. Never once did they try to sell me something I did not want. Once I found my little Sophie they took the time to go over everything, as far as caring for my 14 week old puppy. They truly do love their pups and take such good care of them. I would definitely buy another puppy from brookside. They’re awesome! I believe they’re prices are reasonable. The puppy I brought home was a golden Pomeranian (teacup size). There is no way I would have been able to find a pure breed, small size, for this price. Thank you Brookside for being so helpful! You guys are truly awesome!

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW (yet) but I do in fact have a question since I did leave my number and whatnot with interest for a Mini Dachshund pup earlier today. Based on reviews from the past I can already see pricing and perhaps some of the dogs health is out of line and not checked by a professional. I would like to know why people are paying so much regardless of the dog being purebred or not? I'm aware I should of checked the reviews first, yes but If someone were to pay that much and not even have a guarantee the dog is healthy I don't see the point. More or less pay that much for puppies with unknown breeders. I would love to see for myself, whether it's even okay to sell puppies that for that much. :) I would also never buy a dog from a store without its medical papers! I know this only because a family member has bought a dog this way and it was truly a blessing.

We purchased a puppy from Brookside Pups on 1/17/2021. The reviews we read of the place online looked promising so we did not think we would have any issues. The girl working at the store was really nice and pretty knowledgeable as well. That night our puppy, Jax, had diarrhea. We figured it was just nerves being in a new home. The diarrhea continued throughout the week and Wednesday morning at around 3am he started to vomit. We closely monitored him throughout the day and he continued to vomit as well as suffer from diarrhea. The only food Jax ate Wednesday was a few pieces of food out of our hands.Thursday, Jax's vomit formed a yellowish color so we called the vet ASAP and they got us in. Jax was diagnosed with the deadly virus called Parvovirus (“Parvo”) and hospitalized. It was a really upsetting time for us, and on top of it the bills started to pile up and his stay kept getting extended. He spent more time in the hospital than he had with his family his first week home. The responsibility to save his life fell on our shoulders because of others negligence. The veterinarian had immediately sent a veterinary certificate to Brookside deeming that the dog had an illness that “renders it unfit for purchase”.This situation is so unfair for our poor Jax. We did everything we could to make sure Jax had a chance at life. After just a few short days he has become the center of our little family and we couldn’t wait for him to pull through this deadly disease. Unfortunately, on 1/26/2021, after 6 days in the hospital, Jax passed away. His paperwork stated that his breeder was Amos Yoder from Lancaster, MO. After speaking with the owner of Brookside, Shawn O’Kane, she does not know his license number after stating that she MUST deal with only USDA licensed breeders. She has lied on multiple accounts of speaking with us and after researching, Jax was not the first dog to have died from Brookside Pups. We are not only out $5,000 in medical bills, but also a piece of our family is gone.Nothing will ever be able to replace Jax, but we have made it our mission to make sure that no other family goes through the amount of suffering we have. We want our story to be heard and spread awareness so this does not happen yet again to another one of Brookside’s customers. They have been and continue to sell sick puppies and should be investigated/shut down for this ongoing negligence. They should be accountable for the $5,000 in medical bills to try and save his life.
