If you love your pet you won't take your pet here. Incompetent vet doctor. Manager only wants money doesnt care about animals she didn't care about the problem . Said I never paid. Vetinarian injured my dog and I had to pay for pain pills.

Small town America is about 20 mins from most everything. We aren't a one light tow. We don't have a traffic light. We are a 1 Stop Sign town

Had a wonderful experience at this vets office. My kitten was seen today by Dr. Debra Buchanan for round-worm/vaccinations/general check-up. She was so warm and welcoming and made the experience so special for both of us. She took the time to explain about my kittens health and listened to my concerns without judgement. So thankful to have had the opportunity to come here today. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff members at this location for making the experience so enjoyable!

I don't often post reviews, but my experience at BSAH was so exceptional I felt I should make an exception. I took both my German Shorthairs in for their first BSAH appointment - an annual exam - after leaving another veterinary clinic in the area. I noted to the examining vet, Dr. Buchanan, that my 11yr old male, Maka, had a somewhat extended and hard abdomen, but was otherwise healthy with a good appetite. Dr. B. examined Maka, agreed something was not right and performed an x-ray, followed by an ultrasound, to discover he had an enlarged spleen. After we discussed the implications of this condition on an older dog and the costs entailed, Dr. B scheduled him for surgery the following Wednesday, only three working days off. The surgery was a success, as Dr. B removed the spleen and a 9lb tumor attached to it. The subsequent biopsy proved both were benign. Maka spent only one night in the (unattended) BSAH facility, and demonstrated enough appetite to warrant releasing him to me the following afternoon. His recovery was astoundingly quick and without any complications. Nine days after the surgery, Maka was deemed fit for unlimited activities. The performance and communications of Dr. Buchanan and the rest of the BSAH staff was exceptional throughout this surgery. I can heartily endorse BSAH.

A $90 fee for a new patient to walk through the door is sad for people that claim to be out for the best interest of animals. They obviously are only interested in serving wealthy humans with animals. Animals living with a middle class or lower family does not qualify for care from these people, unless they're willing to sacrifice paying a bill or work double shifts. Doesn't every animal count? Shouldn't a middle class or lower middle class person be able to afford a pet and children at the same time? No wonder it's getting harder and harder for animals to find good homes these days, the average person just can't afford the increased expenses to give their pet BASIC health care. No wonder so many end up homeless or living lives in homes with barely their basic health care, if that. Thank God there are Vets that still want to serve to the needs of the Middle Class and lower middle class pet. (Sadly many Vets in an area increase fees to keep up with the other) Why make it hard for the average person to own a pet and care for it properly? I don't get the logic in that. That doesn't help the majority of our pets so dependant on us

A 90 dollar fee added to a simple 30 dollar checkup appointment just to look at an eyeball. If they could charge a fee for using a thermometer or a stethoscope I bet they would. A bag of medicine later im spending $500 and there is no improvement to my dogs health. They don't care about your pet. They want you in and out the door and take all your money.
