An Antiochian Village retreat is a gift. Friendly staff, great hospitality, and amazing food under the direction of Chef Timothy. Special dietary needs we're met with kindness, generosity, and flavor of the best caliber. I look forward to being able to return for a time of peace and renewal.

What an amazing place! I attended a weekend retreat here so I experienced a large portion of the available amenities. The check in process was simple and the rooms were easy to get to (and location explained well by the staff). My room had two double beds and a single along with its own bathroom (and a separate vanity area). There was even a coffee maker in the room. It was nicer accommodations than I was expecting. The two double beds were comfortable (the single was hard as a rock so I'm glad I didn't have to sleep on it). The food was amazing. Two entree options at each meal plus a salad bar with a nice mix of toppings. They even had fresh baked apple pie as dessert. During one of our longer breaks I took a walk through the museum. It is small but well designed. It was interesting seeing the beautiful artifacts and artwork and learning more about them. I Aldi enjoyed the meditation trail (although don't go without the map so you don't get turned around). Overall a beautiful place to spend a day or a weekend.

The staff are amazing. So helpful when I needed to find a breakout room, or when I had any other need. We were there for two different conferences this year and our whole family had great experiences. The group we were with did most of the programming, but on one occasion the staff moved a family carnival inside due to the weather. They scrambled to find and create games we could play indoors instead of simply cancelling the event, and as a result our whole family had a marvelous time. Our rooms are always clean, the food is amazing and they create food for all the different food needs of those attending. The setting in the great outdoors is stunning. We couldn't ask for anything more in a conference setting!!

The room was clean. It was of ample size. The beds were comfortable. There is no TV, this is a church conference center, after all. We did not have good cell phone or Wi-Fi reception in our room or in most other areas inside the conference center. The food was pretty good.

Husband and I took advantage of visiting Antiochian Village during a tour of local museums. Our area devoted one day where 6 museums waived admission fees. I had known of Antiochian Village as a retreat center, but I was unaware that there was a small museum on site. It is located about 6-7 miles north of Ligonier along Route 711. One may think it's out in the middle of nowhere, but that may contribute to the charm. The museum is a hidden gem in a building that houses a beautiful chapel, dining areas, comfortable rooms, library and gift shop. Every person we met during our visit was welcoming and helpful. We met the curator who was a lovely woman who spent time explaining the complex and an exhibit called "East meets West." One would wonder how a museum on the Antiochian Christian church and the Syrian, Lebanon and mid eastern cultures came to be in such an unusual location. The history of the Middle East is intertwined with early missionaries from this area. Beautiful religious icons are displayed along the wall. Antique furniture from Syria has ivory and mother-of-pearl. Vestments of Antiochian priests, Arabic bibles, vintage clothing, and other numerous items are displayed in glass cases. We saw the chapel which is lovely and it shouldn't be missed. Unfortunately, time went quickly and we were unable to see the gift shop. If you are visiting the area and want something a little different in a serene atmosphere, this is the place. I would check the hours to assure that the museum would be open. I learned new history about a different culture by visiting here.

Always enjoy the time at avcc. Only caveat this time was that my bed was a bit squishy... kind of like a bed taco.
