I wish I could rate 0 stars. Just walking in you could tell the puppies are all sick by the way they look and how they ALL are coughing. This place is known for jacking up the prices and abusing animals. The staff and owner are rude as well. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

1/25/24 If I could leave a 0 star review I would. My daughter went there last week to see the puppies and play with them. A couple of days after that my 3 dogs started coughing. We took them to the vet and found out they have kennel cough. My dogs don't go out in public nor do they interact with other dogs. I called Zimmers yesterday and told them i had suspicions of my dogs getting kennel cough from their puppies and they said that they are vaccinated and being treated for it now. They confirmed that they are aware of it and are not disclosing it to their customers or anyone that is playing or holding the puppies. Now I have 3 vet bills and 3 uncomfortable dogs that could have been avoided with a simple disclosure from the employees. Will not be returning to Zimmers ever again nor recommend anyone to shop with Zimmers Pets.

What a wonderful small business. I wish I lived closer. They show care to their animals. They have amazing selections of puppies, rabbits, fish, reptiles, small animals. All the pens are clean and taken care of. I will send friends and family here when they are searching for pets. For a small place they literally have everything. We purchased 2 bunnies from here. Will be back when we are in the neighborhood. Prices are very reasonable compared to the box stores and you get the bonus of the small business personal touch. Great people, great business.

There are rumors of the animals coming from puppy mills. I do not know if this is true but can confirm that my two puppies from Zimmers had a lot of issues. Having no previous pet owner experience, I did not know any different. My one dog didn’t know how to drink out of a bowl because they feed the puppies out of hamster bottles. I always felt like the puppies were heavily sedated when seeing them. Obviously not the dog’s fault but will definitely not be adopting anymore animals from Zimmers. The employees were nice and helpful. They do have a large selection of supplies and toys. But overall I do not recommend supporting them and will not be any further.

The experience and diversity is what you would find in a big city zoo. A must have destination on my list that keeps me coming back. The care provided to the animals is exceptional. And the care provided to the clients is heartwarming. From the so called average and the extremes of exotics you will find your love and the tools necessary to enjoy any pet you obtain. Thanks Zimmers! ❤️ Also that review stating there’s a 20ft boa in a 25gal tank is false information. The snake is around 8ft and In 40gal breeder. It’s a temporary home until someone adopts him. The animals are cared for properly and healthy. Someone is always going to be entitled and ignorant in this world. Those type of people are the reason for “karen” videos on YouTube. Proof is in the pudding. And my photos provide the evidence as I hold the snake. I just want to include that, the snake previously mentioned, was finally adopted a week after my review. Zimmers took the snakes care on to find a new home for him. Due Respect Zimmers! Society is going to constantly break us down, and as the survivors, . We stand tall and proud❤️

Hello, I'm glad to give my opinion about this place, many pets and reptiles are excellent, good people help you with what you need. I bought an iguana, I am happy with my decision to go to this place and buy it.

They abuse animals here. They buy from puppy mills. The dog drink out of hamster water bottles. The dogs have no toys. There is a 20ft boa in a 25 gallon tank with no matter. 2 red ear sliders the size of gallons in a 15 gallon tank. The bearded dragons are so hot no where to hide. All snake huts are wayyyyyy to small. The puppy chew on metal of the cage. They have no food or waterBowls for any animals that's needs one. The owner was arrested for animal abuse he signed the store over in his wife's name like that's any better. They also had a staff member arrested for stomping a kitten to death. All of the kittens are sick. They are not good ppl don't support them

Myself and my 4 boys love Zimmers! The staff is well educated and on point! They are patient and very caring. We have adopted a puppy, snake and most recently got a kitten! We got a kitten on Sunday and Sarah and Brian were wonderful! They took the time to let us take our time in picking the kitten that best fit our family..Thank you so much. We are in love with our little guy.

Shocked to visit a pet store STILL selling dogs and cats. Over 1.5 Million shelter animals are killed YEARLY. There are Many reasons people get rid of dogs BUT #1 reason? Puppy mills! These are large kennels who sell to stores. They DO NOT refrain from mating dogs with genetic flaws or bad temperaments. Back yard breeders or even people who buy dogs to sell their puppies are very much the same. They unknowingly add to the dogs sent to kennels due to behavior, temperament or expensive health problems. ( Quality breeders genetic tests all dogs they breed and can introduce you to both parents with health records). Remember---Pets are VERY expensive. Its $900-1600 for teeth cleaning. Most dogs need every few years. Its $200-300 just for for a check-up. Its $2500-3500 for knee cap surgery many small breeds carry this gene, and your dog is NOT warranted against patella problems. Hip dysplasia is common in big dogs $3000-4000. Will you REALLY give your dog back in 6 -12 months IF you learn it has dysplasia? (no! And the stores and puppy mills know this: hence why its " under warranty". IF your pup or young adult starts showing anxieties ( chews your couch when you leave, or worse, is aggressive with visitors, other dogs or a family member will you spend the $100 per visit for a trainer and keep training until the dog is trained??? If needed, Do you have $500 for the first of 3 visits with a vet behaviorists IF the trainer recommends it or will you actually blame the DOG for the behaviors and " sniff, sniff, tell people " you had to give it away"???? Please help STOP this cycle of 1.5 MILLION animals killed at shelters yearly because people cannot or will not take responsibility of THEIR pet for life! Please adopt, or if you must buy, review quality breeders. Internet Puppy mills pretend to be "quality" breeders so be careful. Get referrals from vets, yes u will pay much more up front and you will have to wait as these breeders do not force their females to have batches of pups every year. Do your homework. Don't fall for the cuteness in the store cage. Eventually if people stop buying, stores like this will STOP selling them. Thanks for listening.

My dog originally came from this pet shop (his first family bought him from here back in 2017). This is a puppy mill peddler claiming their dogs are from "local breeders". They are mass produced mutts with an array of issues who this place sells for ridiculous amounts of money. They only care about profit, not the animals. Unfortunately we are my dog's third home (after a lot of research and his DNA test I tracked him down to being a puppy sold from this "pet shop" in September of 2017 who then was surrendered to a shelter at 11 months old due to "issues"). Ilove my dog but he is such a mess psychologically. He is a genetic nightmare and after seeing multiple professionals unfortunately no amount of training or medication will "fix" him. He will live out the remainder of his life as our spoiled pet but I wish the poor dog didn't have to deal with the psychological issues he has. This place has zero concern about animal welfare and the dogs people get from here are the ones that end up in shelters (like my dog) and further contribute to over population in shelters. Please do not support this place and either instead rescue/go to an animal shelter or seek a responsible breeder who health tests and cares about their dogs. No responsible breeder would ever sell their dogs in a place like this.

It's honestly sad how poor of an environment and upkeeping these animals are provided. Flies everywhere, smells like piss. Everything's filthy. Heard very unsettling things about rabbits and other pets from here having bad infections just days after buying.

I purchased a Shih Tzu Puppy from Zimmers & have received outstanding support & encouragement from the employees. Im a first time puppy owner, with thousands of questions & anxiety - the employees & OWNER have been patient & understanding, walking me through protocol & steps to take with my darling boy. I highly recommend Zimmers Pets to anyone looking to add a new addition to their family!

Worst, most disgusting pet store I have ever seen in my life. They clearly don’t care about animal welfare. I’ve seen dogs and cats visibly sick or struggling to breathe , reptiles dead in tanks, not to mention the horrible attitude of the staff. please save yourself the heartbreak and money and NEVER buy an animal from this place. In-fact please report it.
