I don't know where to even begin my praises for Nicholas Electric Co. From my desperate initial call-in, to the work site itself, evey step I have been respected, treated fairly and had my mind set at ease.
My situation was a bit tricky and involved a good amount of back-and-forth with scheduling and various characters. John at Nicholas Electric Co. was incredible and at the end of the day, was able to schedule my work as quickly as possible, and all in one day. On the work date itself I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jim, Andrew and Callum, they were efficient, kind, and in good spirits despite having to crawl around the outside of my home on a freezing, windy day! They patiently and politely answered all of my questions and never made me feel foolish or ignorant.
I enthusiastically recommend Nicholas Electric Co. to anyone in the Pittsburgh area looking for a knowledgeable licensed and insured electrician.

The guys From Nicholas electric were great.They came and installed the line needed for my new water heater. They worked quitely. I barely heard them which was great. I appreciate them coming out quickly and doing a great job at a great price.Thanks again!

Highly recommend these guys, they finished the job a previous electrician started and didn't finish and did a great job, nice clean work and scheduled me in right away. Will definitely be using them again

I would definitely recommend Nicholas . Not only did they respond to our call quickly, we got an appointment right away.
Tim and his crew were professional, courteous , cleaned up at the end of the day and were prompt. Pricing was reasonable. Everything was explained .

We’ll only be using Nicholas Electric moving forward! They solved what another electrician quoted us thousands for, in under an hour, with a simple and safe fix. They were on time, knowledgeable, and getting a service appt was quick and easy.

Absolutely the best. They have done big and small jobs for me - and they show up when they say they will be there. To boot, they are honest. They recommended cheaper fixes when they could have made more money. I highly recommend.

-After Jim provided a comprehensive quote, Drew and Mason re-wired my house, removing the knob-n-tube. Colm and Tim even helped one day. I must admit, I was very reluctant to proceed as I have always thought I would need to move out to have that process completed. Not the case!!
-In addition, to re-wiring the house, they installed a new subpanel, new basement lights, new closet lights, many GFCI and 3 new ceiling fans. The first set of new fans were mostly defective, so they had to install 6 fans in actuality.
-At the end of each day, they thoroughly cleaned each room so that I could enjoy the space. I was told I might need 2-3 3-inch round dry wall holes per room, but they were able to complete the work with <50% of that amount. Incredible!
-Every member of the team, including John, was forthright and conscientious. Even the code enforcement associate indicated that he has been admiring their work for years, and that my basement looked like new.
-Even if you can get a better quote, it would be a mistake to use anyone else. (And what a relief that potential electrical safety issue has finally been remedied!)

Nicholas Electric came to tackle two smaller jobs in my house this morning and did a great job. In and out in less than 3 hours, service was friendly, and the price was really reasonable. Would use again in a heart beat!

Thrilled with how fast the turn around on our troubleshooting visit was - messaged late evening New Year day, Mark was at our door by 10:00 the next day. Out cat made a new best friend, too.

We just had these guys do a whole house rewire (like many people in this review section) and genuinely couldn't be happier. The estimate walkthrough and resulting report were very thorough and we were talked through every line item. The price was reasonable given the extent of work and after we felt a high degree of confidence in their knowledge and skill. We were not disappointed!
These guys are communicative and responsible. Mark, the team lead, was particularly excellent as was his associate Nick - very friendly, reliable, punctual, considerate, and organized. Mark knew what was going to happen at the beginning of the day and what had happened by the end. We had to work from home while they were there and they were great partners in making sure we knew where the noise or dust was going to be. They also did an excellent job tidying up at the end of every evening.
A total rewire is invasive and expensive, there's mess after everyone's left, but with Nicholas Electric all efforts were made to make the entire ordeal as smooth and painless as possible. We're so delighted to have found such a reliable team. We've already recommended them to several friends - thanks, guys!

I scheduled an appointment with them Sept 26th at 9am via email. at 8:15am that morning he cancelled due to being sick. We recheduled for Oct 16th at 8:30am. He doesn't show up, reply to emails, or call. We call him around 8:45am, and the company said someone will call us back that day to reschedule. Nobody ever called. I'm sure this company does great work, but impossible to schedule with.

John gives excellent customer service, a through inspection, tells the truth, doesnt price gauge - and his team gave prompt and professional service when updating my electrical in my old house. Will only be using them moving forward. Highly recommend!
