I can not say enough about Dr. Rubin and her team. We have been with her for almost 20 years and 3 dogs. She has personally held my hand as I cried when my 3 month old Rusty broke his leg. Her compassion is overwhelming. When we lost Rusty she and her staff reached out and sent flowers. She now is caring for Rudy and Lucy and I would never trust anyone else. I am a psychotic, crazy dog mom if that tells you anything. Have I waited for an appointment, been rescheduled and paid sometimes more than I would like...Yes. This is just part of being a pet owner. It happens. I wouldn't change anything and am so thankful for Bridgeville Animal Hospital.

It’s really a shame cause at one point dr Rubin was a good doctor when she was in bethel park and I’ve taken dogs to her for 20 years but whatever happened to make her so insufferable and her head swell and only care about the money is very sad. I had to call for three straight days to get in our general appointment . Took my dog there for an urgent visit and was told very little other than positive for lymes and some kidney issues . Given a slew of meds and told to medicate and hope for the best to the tune of 800 dollars. They forgot to take her blood pressure on the first visit and wanted to take it give another script . So she was taken in and they charged for take her blood pressure something that should have been done the week prior. In the same week the dog continues to decline and even have a seizure . I called asking to talk with Rubin or dr bishop all I was told was there not available take to we if it happens again . And didn’t get a call back for roughly 10 days from Rubin at which point she berated me about how I treated her staff not about how her staff treated me and my dog and at which point in the conversation and interrupted me and told me her husband was there with her lunch and that she had to go. Long story short, I had to take my dog to another vet to get a real diagnosis and end up unfortunately putting the dog to sleep Because there was nothing that could be done.

I’ve been a client of Dr. Rubin for a long time (30 years?)and my whole family loves her. She has compassion for the dog and the family, and goes out of her way to establish a connection. Her whole staff has a heart for the cause and it shows. I couldn’t recommend their practice more!

We’d gone here for a few years and our experience was fine until one of our dogs got sick. After a very scary weekend hospitalization at an ER vet to save our dog’s life, we followed up with Dr. Rubin a week later because he wasn’t back to himself. We learned that his liver enzymes were elevated. Over the past SEVEN months, our poor pup has had blood work at least once a month, thousands of dollar have been spent, and we got no answers. Communication was so poor and we always felt like a bother. We switched to a new vet who quickly started a new treatment path and the demeanor of our dog is completely different. He’s 8 but acts like he’s 3 again. We know things take trial and error, but 7 months is a long time, and it feels like an eternity when the most beloved thing in your life is sick and the communication is lacking. His test results are better after peaking at our last appointment here. And being able to trust our new vet and not feel stuck in a money grab anymore has been a great feeling.

They took care of all my dogs. You can’t have a more valuable team. Starting the front office girls to techs and vet

Unfortunately the quality of care and the office hrs have declined. We had a appointment that was canceled and rescheduled 2xs .We asked to see Dr Rubin for our appointment after waiting in the waiting room for a hr we saw her assistant ??? . Why schedule Dr Rubin for a appointment if she isn't available???? Then the quality of the technician was sub par. Called and complained but wanted us to pay again to bring my dogs back and fix what wasn't done correctly.

AVOID!! Their website says they handle emergency and urgent care. I took my dog there today for a life threatening condition and was told by an unfeeling and uncaring staff they don't take walk-ins. They offered no options.

If you have a special breed of dog ( bulldog, boxer etc) I do not suggest taking them here. We almost lost our perfectly healthy 2 year old bulldog during a routine neuter due to incompetence of the surgeon/ancillary staff. They chose not to honestly communicate the status of our dog with us during the 4 phone calls we received throughout the day. I specifically asked how his breathing was doing ( due to his anxiety and being brachial cephalic) and was told he was great; however, when we came to pick him up, they blamed the extreme respiratory distress he was in on his breathing and anxiety prior to surgery. By the grace of god, and a 24 hour stay at an emergency vet, on a ventilator, our baby is alive! I STRONGLY encourage seeking veterinary care elsewhere!

Had an appointment for my dog with a terrible inner ear infection scheduled for 3pm. My dog was checked in and set in a room wearing a muzzle with no attention from a vet or assistant for over an hour and a half. Once we threatened to walk out, we were offered to have our dog seen. The office manager blamed my fiancée for my dog not being seen like that because she was upset from the neglect. Needless to say Bridgeville animal hospital has lost our business from this for both of our dogs. What a shame.

This vet has my dog in emergency care at a 24 hour vet due to being incompetent. My dog was showing extreme stress prior to getting fixed and instead of calling my wife or I they proceeded with the surgery. The worst vet I have ever been to. Nobody knows what they are doing and when they say something is wrong with your animal and you ask why? They have no clear answer. Do not recommend!

I can’t say enough about Dr. Rubin and her staff. They have been caring for my pug Roxy for close to five years. I feel they are reasonably priced for a vet, and they do their best in finding out what is wrong with your pet without unnecessary testing. They also show compassion with you as the pet owner. They care for you and your pet like family.
