This is my first time at this airport and I love it! A giant T-Rex greats you when you arrive. Bathrooms are clean and fully stocked. Check in staff is very helpful and if you are worried about you bag weighing over 50 lbs, there is a scale you can use to weigh it prior to checking in.

As a fairly frequent global traveler, this is a well planned airport. I'm impressed with the layout. I live where we have a brand new, and still being constructed, airport that is not well planned. Yes, it's an older airport, but it is massive updating. There are no charging areas in the gates, but it's an older airport. Plan accordingly. It doesn't have what the newer airports do, but patience. It will. The lack of healthy food options is the downfall. Plenty of fast food greasy options. Trying to eat healthy is difficult at this airport.

We don't have any other choice but to go through this airport going to my in laws. Airport is small, and old. They have been working on the renovation for a couple of years now. So some areas are not as presentable since they are around the construction area. Going through the TSA is always fast. I always enjoy riding the tram. And I can't wait to see this airport after the renovation. There's a lot of places to buy food and souvenirs. Staff are always friendly.

Definitely indeed of an upgrade. Long lines at TSA, not the easiest airport to navigate through. Even the road leading to the airport was under construction. Maybe Im spoiled and fortunate the two airports I use most are way more modern.

The airport was not busy and I got through security quickly. The bathrooms were kept clean. Easy airport to travel from.

Let me say my Bourbon Old Fashioned was perfection! I had 90 minutes until time to board and decided to try Wigle. Wigle Whiskey is located in Gate A between 5 and 7 on the right-hand side. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed sitting there until it was time to go. She said that it is a Pittsburgh whiskey which can be ordered. She said they ship to 48 states. I had two of the Old Fashions before leaving. Definitely recommend. As for the airport, medium size with helpful, friendly employees. Please arrive a minimum of an hour before departure time. It usually is not too busy but doesn't chance. Security is simple.

It's a fairly large and clean airport, still in process of upgrading . This is my first time there, I had to take the train to reach baggage claim. The American Airlines gates are a long way away.

officer scalise is rude and on one hell of a power trip. When arriving tell your flyer to be prepared to jump into a moving vehicle because you can not stop not even for one second if your person arriving is not visible by her. While she is writing ticket she will block two lanes And keep everything backed up but that's ok because it's a money grab for Allegheny county. If anyone has a complaint about the officer please email fly Pittsburgh or call. No other airports have officers this rude.

At security, the one worker yelled at me to take of my shoes (which i was about to). Them when my family was trying to but the sticker on the handle of our luggage they can over to help us and were really rude judging us for not knowing out to but it on. Lastly at bag check in they tossed out suit cases up on the thing super hard and after the place ride when we got out suit cases back, mine and my little sister's was dirty, my other sister had a messed up wheel and my mom had a big crake. Definitely a bad experience.

Pittsburgh is one of those cities that I always think is larger than it really is, and so, flying into its airport, I'm always surprised to find it smaller than I expect. That is definitely a good thing. As with the airports at Buffalo, NY; Albuquerque, NM; and Raleigh, NC, the walk between PIT's ticket counters to one's gate, or from there to baggage claim, is a brief trip. NOTE: I'd have included New Orleans in the list above, except that the relatively recent renovation of that city's airport enlarged it dramatically, at least doubling the walk from portal to departure, which, as far as I can tell, was simply a flex that tells tourists that THE CITY IS IMPORTANT.Pittsburgh is a nicer town than you think, and its airport reflects that fact. Convenient, well-appointed, stocked with food, drink and relaxing diversions, it offers useful connections to other places and a sense of welcome to those arriving home.

I have to use this airport a lot (not that it's a bad thing), and I've been happy with the service every time. Everything is very clearly marked, so it's fairly easy to find your gate when you pay attention to the signs. All of the employees are always polite and willing to help if you do get lost or need a hand with something else though. It's not a massive airport, so not a lot of options when it comes to the food court and shops to visit. They're just as pricey as you would expect, but I like the products they carry, so I don't mind all that much. My favorite aspect of this airport is that Gaby Et Jules has a macaron booth that's pure heaven. Be sure to stop by whenever you're at this airport! Totally worth it!

Was a great pit-stop in my travel today. The women's restrooms in section C was the cleanest bathroom i've ever seen at an airport. Signs were clearly visible to read, and easy to navigate. I would suggest you make sure you arrive with enough time as tsa check there was a long line. So just plan accordingly.

I've flown out of and into Pittsburgh international many times and have had a fairly varied experience overall. Although some flights are smooth and I get home quickly, others often result in standing at baggage claim for many, many minutes before my bags arrive. Although I completely recognize how hectic unloading bags can be, other many other airports just seem to move much quicker, thus my 3 out of 5 rating

Used as a connection between LGA and MSP in a reroute pinch as a first time visit. The parts we went through were clean, modern & it was very easy to navigate, though it was so empty at 7pm, we were reminded of an old movie & kept an eye out for the Langoliers to swoop in. We didn't do any dining or shopping but saw there were several options. Staff were friendly to boot.No entry or exit, so, can't comment on that part.

love this airport!! the efficiency here is just impeccable.security is always a breeze to get through however long the lines may get (once i went at 5:30am and the line went through the hallway, but even with that it took 20 min max).the tram is very straightforward; there's only one stop each direction LOLlots of food places inside the gate to pick from if ur hungry; mind that they close at regular EST hours though.during my most recent visit, i was surprised to see a notice about future airport construction- what is there to fix? it's perfect. xoxo
