Citadel is a terrible bank. I’ve been trying to contact them about these ridiculous courtesy fees and no one has gotten back to me. I’m a server so im not used putting money in my account everyday and they charge 33 every single time my account is charged while there’s no money in there I understand paying the bill until I put money in the account but it’s doing way more harm then good. I also was forced to have a savings account with them and I don’t put or take any money out or in and all of a sudden it’s a -200. They’re just doing whatever with my account at this point and I’m over it. Once I get in contact with them I’m closing all of these account and I’m never banking with them again.

I have been a member for many years, and until recently received outstanding service. However, I have sent emails to the branch manager and the general customer service email address and no one bothered to respond to me. Additionally, it feels like every other time I try to use the drive up or in-lobby ATM, the machine is down. On top of this, Citadel has been charging my child outlandish overdraft fees on her custodial account... $33 for a $4 charge from a free trial she forgot to cancel. If they had contacted me, I would have resolved the issue immediately, but they continued to let her account go negative to $175. It's outrageous. This is exactly what H.R. 4277 intended to stop, and I am disgusted that they didn't alert me the first time an overdraft went through, or that they didn't pull funds from my primary account to cover the charges. Things have really gone downhill at the Brookhaven branch and with the online customer service now as well, and this sneaky policy of not alerting parents when minor children's accounts go negative is very shady. I'm disappointed by what was once a reliable and honest financial institution, and will be moving my money to my PSECU account.

I can’t say enough about credit unions versus banks- I am a valued member, not just a customer. I have been with Citadel for like 40 years.
Locally, I use both the Springfield and the Brookhaven branches. More recently I have had the opportunity to work with new branch manager Brij at Brookhaven and prior at Springfield. He successfully helped me thru a big money fraud attack and lately with transferring 401 money from an annuity to a citadel 401 acct. His help on the former to recover all my money was amazing, and he is now guiding me thru my 40 xfer.
Citadel and all their employees are wonderful.

I came to Citadel because I was tired of big banks and their terrible customer service. I set up a membership with a rep at the Brookhaven branch (maybe Michelle Ferguson? Not sure on the name, threw out her card). She was so excited to tell me how much Citadel was not like a bank and I was a member, not a number. You know, the whole we treat you like a person thing. I started to realize that was just a come on line when I tried to contact the same woman regarding opening a HELOC, I called her number but she was unable to answer so I left a message, leaving my info and asking for a call back. That never happened, evidently she was so busy for so many days that she simply didn't have the time to call back this member. Then came the time, just recently, that I used the citadel app to deposit a check. the app states that it could take 24-48 hours for the deposit to be show up. Yes, the deposit did show up in my account within 24 hours, but, I will not be able to access the total deposit for 4 days (yes, FOUR days) after the deposit date, so great, the deposit showed up, I just cant access my money, how very big bank of you.Seems that Citadel FCU is more big bank than I was led to believe, they're certainly making this member feel like a number.

Such a fraud of a bank had $3792 in my account transferred $500 out and got charged an overdraft. Looks like it’s time for another class act bc they didn’t learn the last two times…

I am a recent convert to Citadel. Tried a transaction online and unable to accomplish. I went to local Brookhaven PA branch 12-29-23 and was assisted by service representative Kamani Green. He was a pleasure to deal with. Exceptionally professional and just a good person. I look forward to continuing to bank at Citadel. Mike Dankanich

Got charged a $25 Fee for making a withdrawal! This is a predatory bank for sure! Find another bank to keep your funds in and run fast from this one.

Update: from one star to three. Lured in by a promotion and 2 months later denied it because they know that monthly direct deposits usually take longer than the 60 days they require if you join around the time to your regular deposit. Make sure you contact corporate asap since the branch will be difficult to deal with. After a bad review, corporate corrected it. It should not have gone that far and the branch manager should be more knowledgeable if given the power to deny or apply the promo. May update to 5 star if my experience the rest of the year goes well. Latina associated at this location tried her best and I appreciate her.

I have never heard of a bank stealing money but here we are. I deposited my cash into an atm and the atm did not put the funds into my account. Instead it sip out a receipt and told me to have a nice day. The funds are not reflected in my account when I open my online account either. My money is just gone. When I called the branch I tried to deposit my money into, the response I got said “someone is working on it”. They gave me no time frame for when the issue will be resolved. In the mean time bills are still due and I have no way of taking care of it. Literally the worst bank ever.

Frustrated ! Wanted to speak to someone at the Brookhaven branch. No way to dial them directly.
