At 6:25pm on Saturday July 5th, on our way from Pennsylvania to Maryland, my wife and I learned that our 2022 $70,000.00 luxury car, did not have a spare tire which we could use to replace the front tire that had a hole in the sidewall of the right front tire, after we hit a deep pot hole on I 95 South.
Auto dealerships were closed until Monday. However, our call to PEP BOYS was warmly received by a nice lady who expressed regret for our problem.
She advised us to “have the car towed to her shop, and they would “ keep the door open until we arrived!”
The PEP BOYS manager Andrew, met us and placed the car in one of the PEP BOYS service bays, which I really appreciated!
The FIRST THING SUNDAY MORNING July 6th, the nice lady phoned me at our hotel to tell us that” she knew we were stranded, so they placed our car first in line, so we could be on our way!”
This was truly a “ World Class” experience for us. A “CUSTOMER FOCUSED,” caring and personal touch from PEP BOYS, produced a 5 STAR EXPERIENCE for us. There is no way that Artificial Intelligence will ever replace that level of service!

I will never go to this Pep Boys again I make an appointment online for 12 am today to have my air conditioner recharged. I specifically asked and and checked tge box that said that I would be waiting for my vehicle. I get there at 11:00 as my appointment stated and they said oh we probably can't even get to your car today. We don't follow what the online appt. says so you might as well take your car back home because I really doubt we're going to even be able to get to it today. Never offered me a future appt, nothing. below I printed the text message that I got from them confirming my appointment

Woke up to go to work and my battery was dead. It was a 3 year old battery and in my Equinox the battery was to time consuming to remove myself. I called my local Brookhaven PA Pep Boys and they found a good replacement and told me to bring it right over and have the new battery installed.
So before I left I found a Pep Boys service coupon on their site that was good for free installation.
I was in and out in about 30 - 45 minutes and it was a win.
I have been using the Pep Boys service dept in Brookhaven for over 30 years now and have always found good prices and good service

Recently bought in our car for inspection after sitting for a year in the driveway. Great customer service,very fast & friendly! A Lil pricey but overall a great experience!

Don’t go here.
I took my 2011 Toyota Camry in for a routine oil change on June 21st. My service experience was at best dishonest, and was borderline predatory.
First, I made an appointment over the phone and received a price quote of approximately $47.00. When I arrived to drop the car off I was told it was going to be approximately $100.00 because I “had” to use synthetic oil. That wasn’t honest but $100.00 for synthetic oil is the going rate so I accepted it.
Here comes the horrible part. They called me a told me both the drain plug and oil pan were stripped and I needed a new oil pan. I told them not to do anything and I’d be up. When I arrived Hempsy (service manager I assume) handed me a spring and told me that was the threads that came out of the oil pan. I went back and got under the car. I wiped off the oil pan. I looked inside and saw threads. The threads were fine on the drain plug. Within 1 minute I had the drain plug back in the vehicle with no issue and I was holding my cell phone.
Side note: I worked at a service station between the ages of 15-19. Their are no springs on a drain plug or oil pan. Are you kidding me? I attached a photo of the “threads” that came out.
They flat out lied. When I called BS they stuck to the lie. They didn’t even offer a discount nor an apology. Very sad.
Is this the type of shop or image PepBoys wants in the market place? What can be done to ensure this doesn’t happen to the next consumer?
I contacted the better business bureau.

Service was excellent. Lady at the front desk scheduled me and kept to the schedule. She was also friendly. I will definitely be bringing my car back. Very convenient for me. Thank you.

We got a flat tire on the Jersey turnpike about 2 hours away from home. Called this location to see if they could help us and Diane was our hero. She made sure we got seen right away and helped to keep us at ease. Super fast service and extremely kind! Thank you Diane and the rest of the team for your help!

Diane, is one of the best workers at the Pep Boys located in Brookhaven Pa. She was very nice and helpful when it came to figuring out problems with my car. She’s really on point with everything and knows how to make a customer feel relieved when it comes to a vehicle crisis. Please promote her or give her a raise or something. Well deserved!!!

Once again..this place never ceases to amaze me. I had an appointment scheduled for 8am… received a call that no technicians would be available to take care of my car at 8am, however a 9am would be available. When I called them back, rude Kathy or Nancy (couldn’t hear her clearly…the one that’s always there at the desk, who thinks she knows everything and believes she’s the CEO of Pepboys) stated she never had a 9am but I could drop my car off and leave it…and then they can take care of my car at 12pm. Why is this location even open? They never have staff to work on the cars. I’ve had appointments in the past, which were early in the morning and they’re opening the store 15 minutes after an appointment time. It’s getting ridiculous.

Wow.. Pep Boys really disrespects their customers. I mean, I am not exaggerating. I also reported to their corporate customer service, BBB, consumer affairs, etc.. but wanted to let the world know as well. I feel like I have been brutally mistreated recently. They have an online system that allows customers to make an appointment for a specific time. This means that they let their customers plan the day accordingly because they have an appointment system. I made an appointment to fix my car. I came in much earlier than the time for an appointment, but the person at the front desk rudely told me (in a scolding manner, as if I did something wrong), without even greeting me as a customer, that there were people ahead of me that made an appointment days before me and that an online appointment system doesn’t matter to them and I have to wait as long as it will take them to fix other cars. So as you can see, I was completely unappreciated and discouraged. In fact, the day when I set up an appointment online (the day before my appointment) - I stopped by the Pep Boys shop to confirm that my appointment was all set. The person at the front desk that evening told me and promised me that yes sure, 100%! Said I was all set and there should be no problems. Promised that everything will be done as scheduled. But on the day of my appointment, I found out that it was a total lie. So now, I feel like I have been lied to. I feel like I have been mistreated and I feel like Pep Boys are not standing by their word. I had other appointments and critical things to get done that day but because of this issue, I the day was ruined because I didn’t know when my car would be returned back to me. This is not right and Pep Boys as a company needs to fix this problem. We as customers are the ones that make their business run. If they do not have customers, they will not have business. And, if this problem will not get taken care of, this will be taken further through legal action.

My experience at the Pep Boys in Brookhaven, Pa. was just wonderful. The customer service support I received from Diane was phenomenal. She is truly an asset to your company.
