When purchasing make sure you fully inspect the item. An employee told me that the owner does not ask of the condition of any items that are sold to him which blew my mind. I made a purchase and noticed outside with better sunlight that there were more damages than I thought. I asked the manager if there was any way for him to refund me the money and he said No. I was very disappointed because I had gone there to purchase something I loved and instead i went home disappointed. I thought the manager was a bit rude and should have been more understanding especially since I hadn’t even left the parking lot. I do not recommend this shop.Also, the shop is very packed and difficult to walk around in. The pictures shown are not accurate of what it looks like now.

When I visit a friend who lives in Media, we usually do thrifting/second hand shopping one day. She introduced me to Consign and Design. I like it here! The prices are SO good and they always have tons of inventory. Nothing is there long so you need to get it right away if you love something you see!

Absolutely amazing store - we happened across it when going to the drycleaner next door.An interesting and beautiful display of homewares - we left with 4 items and cannot wait to go back!

April 2023 I took 4 household items to consign they accepted gave me a consigner number. My contract was over May 2023. Two of my items sold I was told to come pickup the two remaining items before May 25th. When I went to retrieve them the store assistant Josh could only find 1 of them we looked all over the store for approx 1/2 hr dud not find them so I asked what happens now. Josh states I will get the credit. To date I havent gotten a payout for the items they sold. Like the other reviews all I have is excusesI take full responsibility for not making a big enough noise. They so far have just kept the monies due to me. I still can't believe this because I have only shopped there SO DISAPPOINTED. I will keep trying to hold them to their CONTRACT

OMG just got a steal!!! Cherry wood dining set, table pad,4 chairs, 2 leaves and delivery to Philly for under $350.00. Not a scratch on furniture. Go here first for a wide variety of furniture options before purchasing cheap furniture at the big box stores. So many values to be had. Worth checking out frequently as inventory updates quickly.

Have driven by here multiple times but finally decided to check things out during an open house event. There were a ton of kids with the Easter Bunny visiting, which made things a little tricky to browse. However, we did not leave empty handed. There was some miscellaneous odds and ends but there were also some good looking pieces of nice furniture like you'd find some higher end consignment shops but the prices were much more reasonable. We ended up buying a couple small pieces and eyed another piece. I'm not sure who the other reviews referenced as unfriendly but the gentleman at the counter was very helpful and helped move our purchases through the back to load more easily. The only complaint was the 3% credit card surcharge, which was only listed on a counter sticker that was on a side nobody used. They really should note this more prominently so people know to find an ATM.

I took a large number of items to consign. 2 months after the contract end, still no check. I stopped in and was rudely told o, it didn't go out and he walked away from the counter. No call, no apology. Finally came today. Don't think I will use them again. They get great stuff but awful customer service.

It’s my own fault. I read all the terrible reviews and tried to do business with them anyway. I have multiple furniture items I wanted to consign. I inquired about the process. I get an email asking me to send pictures of all of the items. So I take multiple pictures of each item and I email them compete with measurements. And I wait…. Several weeks pass. I call the shop and am told there is nothing they can do as all emails go straight to “the owner”. So I email “the owner” asking for an update on the numerous items I spent so much time taking pictures of. I get another generic email asking for photos of the items. So I send them in again. And I wait… no reply. Ever. How does this store stay in business? They completely wasted my time. Don’t let them waste yours!

I usually have a wonderful time there with friendly assistance from the employees, but this time the woman behind the cash register was cold and offered little help. I don't know, maybe she was having a bad day . Just remember part the experience of shopping comes the people working there and their consumer service. That why today it is only a 4 out 5.

The owner is very rude. I called 6 times beginning at 345pm. Delivery time frame was between 2pm and 4pm. The 7th time I called the owner finally answered the phone, put me on hold for 10 mins and finally asked me "what do you need"?I asked if she was in touch with the delivery drivers ... she said no they are probably running late. I don't mind them running late but keep me informed. Is that too much to ask. After her huffing puffing and sighing then saying "Jesus f? Christ , she angrily said I'll give the delivery guys a call and abruptly hung up the phone. I called again at 4:00 and she said they're almost there, and hung up again. Delivery men got here and did not have mask. This was an entirely terrible experience. I will not even give them one star( I had to give them one star in order to submit this post) If you drive past this place in Newton Square, PA, keep it moving it may look interesting...but keep driving... I promise you if you stop in you will be disappointed!

Like others are writing here, I feel the owner is extremely rude. First off I will comment on the guy in the back that is supposed to assist when people are picking items up. I purchased two older pieces of bedroom furniture on 6/29/22 and when I went to pick them up with my husband on 7/2/22 I told him we were there to pick up our pieces. He said in a rude tone "So go get them" I had no idea we were required to move all the existing furniture in the store to access our items! I told him that and he said" That's why we tell you to bring a bunch of people with you" That is unacceptable that we would have to move all the furniture to even access our items!! Upon moving everything out of the way, I discovered that the side of the one chest was falling apart which I did not see previously because all of the furniture around it was so tightly packed! I went up to the front of the store to ask the girl working about a refund, she told me there are no returns accepted! Technically this is not a return. It never left the store! I asked if the owner could call me regarding a refund. She stated the owner would call me and she wrote down my number. This was on 7/2/22, today is 7/27/22 and I am still waiting for that call. I went into the store today and there sat the owner doing nothing at all but claimed she was too busy to call me. She refused to give me a refund or a STORE CREDIT in the least for an item that was falling apart but I could not see due to everything being jammed in around it. SHE WAS WAITING FOR 30 DAYS TO PASS SO SHE CAN TRY TO KEEP MY ITEMS. SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HASSLE AND DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!

Would not recommend this place. Sold a piece of furniture in February that sold immediately. Started calling well after 90 days of the sale, several times about the $$ owed to me, and got many excuses..."the owner writes the checks weekly, not sure why you didn't receive it but she will write it this week and it will be mailed", several weeks later after no check, "it was mailed yesterday", weeks later another call "it got sent back as we sent it to the wrong address, mailing it out right away. I finally showed up at the store and was rudely spoken to by the woman at the counter who said "that was mailed in May"(.today is July 9th) She was obviously annoyed as she wrote the check, which I was not going to leave without, offering no apologies.She had the nerve to say she needed to check the computer to be sure I hadn't already cashed it, and finally handed me the check saying "be sure to rip up the check if it comes in the mail" Really?, the check you mailed in May?? This place obviously does NOT hold their end of the contract and I would not recommend dealing with this business. According to my experience, and that of many others I'm reading in these reviews they are sheisty, and certainly not a business I want to have any dealings with. I wonder how many people they owe $$?? This would be an interesting investigation

I love this place! They have a great variety of furniture, collectibles and bric a brave. The prices are affordable. We bought a dark green leather sofa that was priced at $89! The cashier rang it up for $75! We got it home and I lifted up the cushion and...wait for it... it's a Barcalounger!!!
