I usually don't write reviews on Yelp, but I felt that in this instance I needed to let folks know about Olympic. Personally speaking, Olympic Jewelers really is excellent in terms of repair work. I've taken many, many pieces of jewelry to Olympic, and have only had great results each time. To be honest, I'm not picky in a lot of areas of my life, but two areas of my life I am pretty finicky in are my jewelry and home repair. I worked in jewelry for many years and in several different businesses (Sears, Whitehall Jewelers, Zales, as well as some others), and can tell you that I've seen a lot of poor quality repair and replacement work done in my time. But that does not occur here at Olympic. Their craftsmanship is similar to older world-style craftsmanship, where jewelers care about each and every piece that comes across their bench. Examples of work I've had done at this business include re-gold plating, rhodium plating, sizing, watch battery replacement, watch repair, stone resetting, the list goes on. Juliet (the co-owner of the business; her husband does the jewelry making and repair work) is always so friendly and knowledgeable, and lets me know if a piece cannot be repaired, and what her husband will try and do to make me happy. I live in the Northeast section of Philadelphia (but work on the Main Line) and have about 6 fine jewelry stores within a 5-15 minute drive from my home, and I still only trust Olympic with my jewelry - and will even ride out to the store on my days off from work to drop something off, etc. Now, you may pay a slightly higher price/premium than taking your ring to a jewelry store in a mall for sizing or the like, but keep in mind that this business is located on the Main Line - and naturally you're going to pay a little bit more than in other sections inside (and outside) of the city. All in all, if you're looking for fine jewelry repair and/or wish to purchase something for a special lady/man/child in your life, think about giving Olympic Jewelers a try. In my humble opinion, you really can't find better customer service or craftsmanship.
