I have been working at Hormann Innovative Doors for 12 years because it is an amazing company to work for. Hormann treats their employees with respect and appreciation and safety is the #1 priority. Management is easy to work with and always willing to help in any way they can. The production supervisors will jump right in and work with you. Yearly raises and bonuses are given and if you take initiative and are willing to learn there is nothing stopping you from moving up in the company. Would highly recommend this company to anyone needing a job and they offer competitive pay.

Hormann innovative doors, is a company that manufacturers high speed doors in burgettstown pa. However the fastest moving door in the facility is the fictional "revolving door" people come an go all year long. If Walmart money is what your looking for , along with high expectations, an low pay raises once a year , it might be the place for you. It took me only 10 months to realize it was a waste of time. I wouldn't recommend this place of employment to anyone, an if I have referred you in the past i deeply apologize.

We recently had the misfortune of having bid and been awarded a subcontract to install 8 of these doors as a part of a new construction project. Immediately upon our staffing of the site we discovered that 2 of the openings lacked the requisite space necessary (according to the Hormann approval drawings, more about that later) in addition to having various plumbing and tilt wall bracing encroaching into the necessary space as well. We had asked to see the approval drawings immediately upon realizing that these 2 doors appeared as though they would lack sufficient space even after the piping and bracing obstructions were removed. We were provided a copy of the approval drawing by a member of the Hormann sales team who had signed the drawing himself.Normally one would expect to see the signature of someone from the general contractor and/or the architectural design firm acknowledging the space requirements as well as a responsibility to coordinate with other trades in order to avoid potential conflicts. In this case, the approval drawings for 2 doors we could see lacked adequate installation space were calling for 17" of hard clearance and over 21" of clearance overall, on the drive side, in order to perform the installation. Actual site conditions provided for less than 17" of drive side clearance in total as the opening was positioned less than 17" away from a perpendicular concrete wall. While this development was certainly a red flag, these things sometimes happen so we notified our contact with the multi line sales contractor to whom we were the installing subcontractor as well as Luis Lane, the Hormann factory sales rep who had signed the drawing, and Joe Jones, the Hormann Director of Sales. We made clear to all involved literally from day one that the complications we had discovered would obviously require some creative solutions and that these extraordinary circumstances would result in us having to spend several more days on the site to complete the project relative to the number of days we had initially considered in our bid to do the work. What we got back over the ensuing 2+ weeks from both the company we had contracted with as well as the Hormann team was essentially crickets. No efforts were made to offer support or solutions whatsoever. Eventually the entire episode began to unravel and devolve into a finger pointing contest between the Hormann team and the local multi line equipment sales company to whom we were the sub. The communications during this period of time had been voice and/or text and we had endeavored to make clear that blame games were not our concern, that we simply needed to solve the problems and move on but expected to be paid by someone for doing so. We continued to get the run around. Ultimately I decided that "official" notification was needed to escalate this matter, and hopefully gain the attention of someone at one or both organizations who might be interested in solving problems. At that point I authored an email laying out our position in a firm and direct manner. This email and subsequent ones included Peter Burnham, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Hormann. All we received by way of response was an email lecture from Joe Jones, apparently intended to "put me in my place" for my having had the audacity to demand support from Hormann. My initial experience with high speed specialty doors was back in 1992. I have had dealings with most major manufacturers of high speed specialty doors as well as most manufacturers of dock equipment. The one thing I'm able to say about ALL of the others with whom I've had dealings is that they each more or less had a culture of striving to provide exceptional customer service and support and a culture of problem solving. My experience with these folks is a culture of finger pointing and email bullying. If I could give them zero stars I would. Can't really offer any critique of the product itself, but it hardly matters given the folks you must "partner" with in o
