Quick summary: Definitely not worth $100. This is on par with $50 hotels in every aspect except cleanliness, which was very good. The hotel is old and very run down.Longer summary and review:The hotel is dying. There is no other way to say it. It needs a huge infusion of money and modernization to be acceptable at a mid-range standard. We were one of about 4 cars in the parking lot on a Friday night, in a 2 story complex of about 150 rooms. That did make it nice and quiet, though! We were on the first floor.Pros:1. Room we had was clean. I honestly felt staff were doing the best with what they have to work with. Linens were clean (but cover did have old minor staining on it), bathroom and carpets were clean. Things were dusted, at least to an acceptable level. The staff have done a good job trying to make the best out of the place. They are fighting a loosing battle.2. There were no pests/bugs or signs of them.3. Ceiling and walls had no signs of water damage.Cons: (in no particular order)1. They say they have breakfast online but that's closed as there are no customers to justify it. Restaurant is closed, too.2. The bathtub will not really drain. You need to be very patient with it. Like, 15 minutes for a shower patient.3. The room heater and exhaust fan in the bathroom sound like they are trying to escape up through the roof. Frankly, not sure I blame them.4. The wallpaper is torn and faded.5. There is no nightstand on one side of the bed.6. One of the lights is broken.7. There are no USB or upgraded outlets to be seen. There is an alarm clock from 1983.8. The coffee pot is kind of frightening and I did not use it.9. All lights / fixtures etc are just old and dingy.10. The armchairs smell musty when you sit on them and the room overall smells a little damp (but I've been in worse for that).11. Door did not want to open and then does not want to close. We were slamming this thing just to get in or out. There is more but the best way to summarize is that I feel, 100%, staff are doing what they can to make this clean. However, it needs more than dusting. For $50, I would not complain as these are all things that come with that price range and cleanliness is just an added bonus for a night's sleep. For $100? Not even close to worth it.Nearby activities: None unless you like grocery shoppingSafety: Seems safe enough

We stayed here because of its relative proximity to the University. Will never stay here again, we got BED BUGS! This has never happened to us, and I contacted the hotel to let them know we had bites. After several emails and unanswered phone calls, I have not gotten a response which makes me think they just don't care. Hoping this saves someone else from going through a similar ordeal.

Cigarette burns on the comforter and blood stains on the sheets. The place is run down with wallpaper peeling off and they have 6 air fresheners scattered around the room under tables. Walls and ceiling r paper thin u can hear everyone talking. The guy that checked us in was nice

Horrible place to stay. Stink like mold, dirty rooms, and heater doesn't work, no laundry. This place totally sucks. You be better off sleeping in your car.

The only reason we stayed here is because the hotel’s location was close to an event we were attending. I would never stay here again - poorly managed hotel, dirty rooms, broken heat/ac, breakfast was little more than subpar coffee, bananas, granola bars, plain bagels, sketchy eggs and packets of instant oatmeal. Talk about false advertising for the “hot breakfast”. In addition, one of the employees putting out the breakfast was coughing several times. When I called to complain, the manager argued with me, told me that hot breakfast was based on occupancy and since I waited 10 days to call, it couldn’t have been that bad. I’d rather sleep in my car before staying there again. Easily the worst value for the money.

If you'd like a room with no heat or air conditioning this is the place for you. Had to ask for extra blankets and a space heater. First space heater was defective. We weren't told the rooms didn't have heat by the check in staff and one member of the staff was quite surly when we asked about the heat.

Worst Hotel I ever stayed at. Watch when booking at this hotel they charged my sisters card six different times. Bank confirmed it!! General Manager was ignorant and belligerent. I had family and friends staying at this hotel as well and they all were so disappointed in the way this Hotel handles things and how dirty their rooms were , the carpet especially and the rooms smelled like mold.

My cousin got married nearby this past weekend (9/9/23) and this was one of the hotels she listed for accommodations. Both of my brothers booked rooms here and one walked out as soon as he saw the room - mold on the curtains, a burn from an iron on the floor, AC didn't work, the attached restaurant was closed (with an ominous sign on the door), room had a terrible smell, and this brother is NOT a particular dude. That brother checked into the Econolodge instead. The other brother tried to make it work, but it was something like 80 degrees in there that night and it was painful. The hotel refused refunds to both brothers (even the one who DIDN'T stay the night!) and accused one of them lying about the conditions. I saw the pictures. It looked like something out of a drug-filled horror movie (and not one with fun drugs - the really depressing kind).Place is garbage and management is awful. From what I understand, even the front desk staff just seemed kind of defeated and felt bad for my brothers because they knew they'd get screwed.Place needs to be shut down.

One of worst places we’ve ever stayed. The rooms carpet was very disgusting. Felt like walking on something wet and gross. The girl checking us in was nice but the manager the next morning was a total B****. They’re for a wedding group and this manager got into a fight with the mother/father/aunt and grandmother in front of us. Screaming at them, she then called the cops and had them kicked out. It was horrible. Do not stay here if you don’t have to.

The staff was very nice and helped with the best rate. I had stayed here 2 weeks before and had to come back for one more night. The gave me the previous rate since it had increased for Penn State move in weekend. The hotel us dated on the outside but there have been upgrades on the inside. The room was clean. The bathroom was still in need of work as the paint was peeling a bit. But this place was fine for the purpose I needed. I slept very well in the comfortable bed.

Rooms were not very clean. At the time of our visit AC wasn’t working properly, we were notified but was too late to change plans, smelled and felt very very musty. Water pressure was not good, took forever to g to get soap and conditioner rinsed from hair. Only had decaf coffee with in room maker.Staff was very pleasant for check in and check out.
