Service has gone downhill, it used to be the main reason I shopped here. Ordered ornaments and tried to pick them up after I received a phone call during their ornament event in July. Waited in line 1/2 hour (1 person in front of me), was told to go to the other register and wait for the other employee. The people behind me in line got there first so I was behind them. Took at least 5 minutes for the other employee to arrive. When I finally got to the register, she asked if the guy behind me could go first since he had fewer items. I walked out, they can stuff their over priced ornaments. I try to shop local for as much as possible, but will end up eventually going on line to buy things I need, because of interactions like this in brick and mortar sales. Businesses are complaining about lack of customers, but they don’t want to provide the service that people want. Why put up with the frustration of employees intentionally doing as little work as possible, going so slow that it takes 1/2 hour to check out, and treat customers terribly when you can go on line and find comparable gifts at much lower costs?

The kindness & smiles of the staff as you enter is very refreshing! Love this Hallmark store!

Customer service has plummeted, which is sad because it used to be the reason I shopped there. Ordered 4 Christmas ornaments for the July premier event. Received a call that they needed to be picked up by Sunday July 23rd. I had just gotten out of the hospital and was still having effects from pneumonia. I drove to the store and waited for the sales lady to finish with a customer (that took at least a 1/2 hour). Meanwhile another customer goes to the other register and starts waiting. The employee at the register then leaves and goes in the back for awhile. Finally another employee comes out and tells me to get in her line (behind 2 other people that had came in after me). I do so, despite starting to weak (lasting effects from pneumonia). By this time I have been waiting over a 1/2 hour to pick up overly expensive Christmas ornaments. I finally get up to the front of the line and the employee asks me to step aside so she can check out another customer because "he only has one card". I left as it was apparent David's Hallmark no longer values me as a customer. Again, customer service used to be excellent and it was a place I enjoyed shopping, but apparently it has gone the way most businesses have lately, poor customer service and employees who work as little as possible for their paychecks.

I was glad I went earlier in the season. Lots of ornaments appear to be sold out. Loved the gifts I bought, especially for 20% off!

Everything you need in cards or gifts. The owner of this store is also amazing, and truly cares about the workers and the customers!

Employees are horrible I'm handicapped and one of them walked right in front of me and almost knocked me down to the floor. No respect for people at all.
