Love, love, love this place. Ambrose has the best corn on the cob around. Their other produce is fresh and very good. Their tomatoes make the best sandwiches. I just made stuffed banana peppers for dinner and the peppers were great. You can choose the heat level of your peppers but using Ambrose’s handy dandy color chart hanging by the peppers. Great place, great produce, and great people. Every spring I look forward to Ambrose opening.

To be honest, I've only experienced the pick-your-own tomato field, so that's the focus of this review. Extremely friendly staff. I'm old-school, I like to talk to people. Country folk are almost entirely the same, great conversations. Got to the field, told the nice lady under the umbrella I wanted 3 bushels. She gave me 6 giant baskets and told me the best part of the field, as of that morning. Drove the Jeep up, grabbed a basket and got started picking. Now, I don't know if it's always like this (Typically I grow enough tomatoes at home) but they had Roma tomatoes that were pretty big in size compared to your typical Roma. I've never seen so many tomatoes on each plant before (Except the San Marzanos I grow at home - but I have a secret concoction I fertilize them with, because they're mine, I'm not trying to sell them). Anyway, not only was each plant loaded, but most of the tomatoes were flawless. It was truly a sight to see. I paid $24 a bushel ($12/basket or half bushel) and plan to make my sauce in the next few days. If I remember, I'll post back with the results.

Definitely one of the better farm markets in the area. Check their hours on Facebook, because the hours listed here differ. As of 8/4/23, their hours are 9 to 7.

Just bought 2 dozen ears of corn and was surprised that the ears were so small and not completely developed. For $8 a dozen, I was expecting it to be a little nicer.

I love this place. My first time to visit this week and I can see why they are so popular. You can tell they take a lot of pride in the stuff that they grow. The honey is really good also.I special personal thanks to Russ Ambrose for the corn he generously gifted to me. It was very thoughtful and appreciated. I will be back and urge everyone to go check it out!
