My family and I have never been, so this was our first time. The staff was very nice and answered all our questions! We took all four of our kids (1.5yrs, 3yrs, 3yrs, and 10yrs), they all picked out their friends, and one accessory, and all really enjoyed it! It was such a fun experience for all!

We went to Build-A-Bear for my child’s birthday. I had been told many times that when you go for a child’s birthday you only pay the price of their age. What no one told me is that it is a specific bear and not just any stuffed animal. I admit. That’s on me and my lack of research. Though when the girls at build a bear asked why we were there I stated it was for my child’s birthday and they then told us to pick out a stuffed animal. There was no mention of the birthday deal or highlights of get this bear and it’ll only be $2! My child does love the dog they picked out though so it was worth paying full price.
We got the little speaker voice chip so that my child’s dog barks. It took the girl a few tries to do the recording. I get it. Technology doesn’t always like me either. But I feel she should have tried at least one more time. The sound is very quiet and you have to squeeze it a few times to get it to work. I feel the voice chip was not worth the extra cost.
When we got home from the store, I was a little disappointed when I realized that they never gave us a birth certificate for my child’s stuffed animal.
The girls working there were very nice even though we interrupted their phone time by coming in in the middle of the day on a week day. And my child enjoyed the experience which is the important part. I just felt it was a little lacking.

Tara is a Build a Bear Rockstar. 2nd year in a row Tara has made our Build a bear experiance unforgettable. She even made a very special sticker in honor of a Build a Bear friend back at home Mr Meow! Highly recommend stopping in and ask for Tara.

OMG! I had my BAB for 7 years and he has seen better days. I heard that BAB restores old bears and wanted to check it out. Upon entering with my old raggedy bear, I was greeted by a kind excited young woman who was more than happy to assist me in restoring my bear. They removed all his stuffing and attempted to repair his broken sound box. Unfortunately, they were unable to repair the sound box as it was disconnected from the circuit board and would need to be re-soldered or replaced.
After they dissected him, I was taken over to the stuffing station and watched as the life returned to my bear. He was re-stuffed and his nose was stitched back to its normal appearance. I bought my bear a new sweat suit and staff was eager to dress him and return him to me. My bear is still matted slightly but his purpose he been extended for years to come. Staff convinced me to buy a BAB brush to help maintain his fur. But, the best part is- it didn’t cost me a dime to fix him!
I had a friend with me who has never been to a BAB. “It’s a lifestyle” I said to them. The people who helped me genuinely understand the importance of my bear and their kindness showed through their actions. The staff at Capital City BAB are dedicated to their job. Definitely enjoyed my experience there!!

My goodness! You can tell the employees of various ages take pride in making sure children of all ages have a great experience! They're enthusiastic and very polite. It may sound silly to some, but my 21 year old daughter STILL goes for her birthday as it's a tradition we've always had since she was very young and continues to have to this day! I believe anyone of any age could still always use a teddy bear from time to time. Especially since the options are specific to all.

First time being here and was an amazing experience! Doesn't matter the age it's fun for everyone! Our family had an awesome time and the workers were great!
