  Beware of This Stylist if You Love Your Long Hair
  
  I’ve been going to this Great Clips for about a year, and there’s one stylist I’ve noticed repeatedly telling women they need a “big chop” to fix “thinning, dead” ends — even when their hair looks long, healthy, and beautiful. She pushes shoulder-length cuts on anyone with thick or long hair, which feels suspicious.
  
  When I told her I didn’t want a big chop one month before my wedding, she pitied me and kept insisting my hair was damaged. But just four months ago, another stylist said my hair was healthy and only trimmed about an inch. I haven’t dyed, bleached, or heat-styled it excessively. My hair is virgin and well cared for — it does not match the brittle, broken hair she described. So to hear 4 months later with no drastic changes to my hair routine, that I need 6-8 inches chopped off was shocking.
  
  She also tried to talk me out of light face-framing layers, claiming I didn’t have enough hair. I have coarse 3C hair with lower density, when straightened it doesn’t look as thick-and every other stylist here has done framing layers without issue. Her inexperience with textured hair was clear, as she seemed to assume normal tapering at the ends meant damage. I did have her trim off the tapered ends and she point cut them, and she trimmed more than I wanted but it’s still long.
  
  Ladies, beware: she’s dramatic about damage and will try to convince you to cut far more than you ask for. I dont know her name but you’ll know who Im talking about because she is very loud, and if you have long hair she will ramble on about how it needs to be chopped to be healthy. If her assessment feels off, trust yourself and walk away. There’s some truth to what she says, which can make her sound convincing. Like for example she educated that hair grows better during warmer months. That’s true because warmth promotes more blood flow to the scalp which promotes hair growth. But dont trust everything she says about your hair. TRUST YOUR GUT. Other stylists here have been great, but I wouldn’t recommend this one — especially if you have ethnic or textured hair. I’ve since gotten a second and third opinion, and both confirmed my hair is perfectly healthy — just naturally low density.
  
  I should have just walked out as soon as she called me back, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and didn’t think she’d tell me what I witnessed her tell other clients with long hair. She also trimmed it unevenly, with my layers being longer on the right than the left, so now I need to get it fixed.

  Loved the haircut! Dianna gave me one of my best haircuts I've received. I've been to other great clips and other barber shops but no one has topped their service. It's quick, you can check in online, and you get great service! Will and have recommended

  We tried to take appointments at 6 o'clock on App.which did not happen due maybe some glitches in App.
  
  We went there at the location at 6:30 they close at 7 .Lady (may be hair stylist) did not even have even guts to say HI , Hello nothing

  my answer was I tried but your system didn't let me do it .so we came here
  She said we are not taking
  I said your entrance does say walk in.and you don't even have treated customers standing at the counter and replied "we are not taking"
  
  She didn't want to take me due to my skin color
  "Employees are discriminates based on skin and appearance".
  
  They got to understand that sometimes online systems do have glitches and they get paid overtime to serve extra time.
  
  They will have excuses to not take you.I will use all platforms to review # hastag , writing to great clips manger also

  Deanna does a great job with my hair. It is difficult to cut (sticks up) but after she is done it looks great! She really takes the time to make it look good. Highly recommend.
  
  Hair type: Double cowlick (correct spelling) makes difficult to style.
