About History on High Museum Shop
History on High Museum Shop and the Cumberland Valley Visitors Center are located at 33 West High Street in the heart of downtown Carlisle’s historic district. As the gift shop of the Cumberland County Historical Society, there is a large selection of books and pamphlets on the history of the county as well as broader historical subjects with ties to the county. The shop also highlights Cumberland County artists, including paintings, fine and fashion jewelry, textiles, pottery, wood carvings, clothing, and food items. In addition, Dickinson College and Cumberland County information is available through the Visitors Center which is located inside the shop.

Great little shop with tons of interesting local goods, books and gifts

This store has a great variety of historical books and work by local artists. I ordered two books from here from my grandmother for Christmas. The store staff were nice enough to wrap them up very nicely and allowed my grandmother to come pick them up on her own time. Amanda was very nice and helpful over the phone.

It has a visitor center in the back which is so cool!
