I was very recently at Marjorie Gems for the first time. I could not be more impressed with the unique item selection and pricing.
The staff was incredible and very Customer Service driven. Kind and professional. They were quite more welcoming than the larger jewelry stores. Truly a family run business.
I will be sure to return for additional purchases.

They need to make $700/day to close. It used to be $200, but now it's $700. It wouldn't be like that if the lady running the shop the day I went in was the boss...I shouldn't know this information. It doesn't make for a great shopping experience/environment to hear a conversation like this between employees, but I couldn't avoid it because one of them was near the register and the other was in the back of the store. Very loud, inappropriate conversation. Awkward!

The owner and her associate didn’t even smile. They must be the angels of death. Beautiful vintage rings, BAD shopping experience and terrible customer service. And I am a jeweler so should have known better shopping with someone that isn’t a jeweler and isn’t GIA certified to rate diamonds. She didn’t offer papers of authentic either.

Marjorie's Gems is a destination. I could browse and shop there for hours - maybe days. They have an incredible assortment of vintage jewelry, and if you wanted just one piece you would likely have a hard time deciding.They will look over your collection of jewelry you no longer want and aren't going to wear, tell you what's real gold or silver and what's not, and give you a fair price right then and there. You may feel a little guilty selling great-aunt Martha's ring that you never particularly liked anyway (and maybe you didn't like great-aunt Martha either!), but think how happy Martha would be if she knew how much its future owner appreciates you selling it to Marjorie's Gems so it can be worn and loved again!Great stuff, huge selection , fair prices, friendly and helpful people and parking available on street or around the corner - can't do better than that!

What a nice surprise visiting Marjories Gems in Carlisle today. Marj was very knowledgeable ,helpful and fair with looking over and pricing our jewelry. She's been in the business for over 40 years and I trust her with the information we received and the additional info she gave in response to our questions. Quaint little vintage jewelry store, wonderful employees, lots of jewelry selection. Look for the purple awnings!
Parking: Metered parking on side streets. Usually close when I've been at the location.
