Whistlestop Bookshop is a great local and independent bookstore. It is a cute little bookshop in a vibrant little town, with a really pretty building. The store feels like you’re in someone’s personal collection. It is laid out well and easy to see everything. The selection is unique, comprehensive, and eclectic, featuring new books carefully selected, including unique books you won't find elsewhere and popular reads. It also has lots of puzzles, novelty items, fine journals, cards, jazz and classical CDs, calendars in season, jigsaw puzzles, educational card decks, local honey, totes, and stuffed animals. There's something for everyone. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is a bit challenging because it is in the city.

Quirky little bookshop on High Street in Carlisle stocking new and used books. I bought a used book for $0.25 and my wife bought a new ghost stories paperback for $14. The shop is deceptively large and while a narrow frontage, it runs back into the block. Well worth a visit.
