The Shop and Save in Heidelberg is clean and generally well kept. The produce is also usually pretty fresh, with a wide selection.
The employees know their jobs and know where things are located in the store. It's a rare thing if I have to ask an employee where something is located and they don't know.
The best thing about Shop and Save is their "famous " two day sale. They generally have the same things each time...ground meat, bagels, OJ, deli meats, etc., but the prices pit them on par with Aldi' s, but with much better selection.
Overall, the store is clean, well organized, and has fresh produce, meats, and baked goods. I would definitely recommend them, especially given how much Giant Eagle costs now!

We like the store very much. The deli foods are very good. We just wish the deli staff was a little bit friendlier and more courteous.

Only been twice, both in the past 3 weeks. Used self checkout both times so not sure why i was such a bother to the staff. Both times i was the only one there. Tonight at 7pm, i had 4 full bags of heavy stuff, was unable to put my basket back myself. Lady at checkout walks over to it slamming it around and says “i guess ill get it” in an awful tone while i was clearly struggling with my bags and had no hands. She was standing there, not busy. She didnt need to make me feel like such a bother for having to move a basket 3 feet. Last time i was watched by two employees while checking out and followed and watched to my car by security. I had a 5lb bag of potatoes, a gallon of sider, a huge cookie cake and another basket full, not sure how i would steal that.

Great selection and very fast checkout. It's amazing how fast i was in and out. It was very well stocked and employees available for help. The parking lot was full.

This SnS is THE BEST AROUND! Their in store specials are FAB! Their shelves are always (ALWAYS) fully stocked…..there’s never an empty space anywhere. I don’t know why that appeals to me so much, but it is just great to look at! The folks who are doing the checking out, are really, really nice too. Their produce? even better! Their fresh flowers? So beautiful and lots to choose from. my only negative that I can say is several times I was in there, and the people were stocking the dairy shelves. The place was really crowded and it was just really hard to get what I wanted out of there and then someone was stocking the bread too so there was no way to get through and those employees weren’t moving for you either. I was a little disappointed that. But everything else is just superb. I go out of my way to shop there rather than the one in Oakdale.

Better prices than giant eagle the employees are so nice helpful there check outstanding always many lanes open. Great sales never experienced the wait you do at Giant eagle it's the best grocery store around .

Head and shoulders above giant eagle and has a larger variety to choose from. Best selection and quality lunch meats anywhere. Also cheaper!

THE BEST grocery store around. Employees are helpful and nice and the selection is wonderful. The isles are perfectly stocked and neat. I dont live near here to shop on a regular basis. When I visit a client in the area they always want to go here and I can see why. This is quite a well run store. I will occasionally go out of my way to shop here. It's worth it.

The store itself is fine. No complaints. But I’ve been waiting for the shop and save on Noblestown road to open up only to find out Sorbara sold it to Giant Eagle. Seems to me Giant Eagle wants a monopoly and Sorbara is helping them get one.
