I arrived near closing time with special circumstance tag/title service and was given knowledgeable, efficient and FRIENDLY service by Laura and Tommy. I am very grateful for their top notch service. This type of service in business, nowadays, is rare.

I have lived all over the country and Tommy Carr Tire & Auto Service has the most competent, honest and kind mechanics I've had the pleasure of working with. They fit me in for a full diagnostic inspection, tire rotation and oil change and finished the job same day. I was blown away by their reasonable price and excellent service. For all car service needs I cannot recommend Tommy Carr Tire & Auto Service enough. 100/10.

My regular mechanic was unable to make repairs on my 2005 Lexus because they didn't have the computer system needed for diagnose and repair on my low brakes. They suggested taking it to the dealership or someone that had the computer system needed. I called Bill Mitchells. They aren't taking new customers due to a very loyal customer base, great reviews, and they are two mechanics down (know anyone looking for a job?). They recommended Tommy Carr. I called Tommy Carr and was told they could look at my car. It would take about an hour to diagnose for about 164.00. If the repairs were something that might take awhile, we agreed I could come back. I made an appointment for the following week. Drop off at 7 - should have a diagnose by 10. 10:30 and no call. I called them. "We haven't been able to get to it yet. We should have it done by noon. We try and have all the cars diagnosed by noon so we can work on getting parts and/or a repair plan." Hmmm. Ok. 2pm comes around. Is no news good news? I hate to do it, but I call again. "We haven't gotten to it yet. We have to wait for a bay to open. We should be able to get it done by the end of the day." EXCUSE ME? Why did I make an appointment a WEEK ahead of time? I could totally understand if I had an emergency and had to drop it off that morning. But a week out? And why wouldn't you TELL ME THAT when I called at 10:20 that you were very busy? Why would you tell me NOON! Now, of course, the dilemma. They have lied twice. Do I go got the car, or am I forgiving and say, "Oh, woe is me, I'm a silly lady! Sure, sure, take your time. What was I thinking? Making an appointment a week ahead of time and believing you when you said it would be diagnosed by 10! Only takes an hour or so!" Do I take a chance and trust these people? What if they disconnect something to "really show me" - the lady that was frustrated because her car wasn't even LOOKED at by 2pm! I took my chances and said, "Don't do anything. I'll come and pick it up." "Are you sure? It will be going in very soon." "I'm sure. I'll come and get it. I had to take off work and I need the car back. I can't take a chance it won't be done." "Okay then, sorry it didn't work out." I had to walk to the shop. It took 30 minutes. I learned I need to start exercising more. But it was a beautiful sunny, warm day. I'm listening to a funny podcast. I even was able to get some work done the first fifteen minutes of my walk! I was ZEN by the time I arrived. Lesson learned. I should have pulled it at 10:30 when I initially called (and my husband was still home and I'd have had a ride). However. Once I arrived, the guy told me, "We did drive your car around the parking lot, and you'll have to sign a release that we are advising you that you shouldn't drive the car until it's repaired." HELLO. Have you seen Tommy Carr's parking lot? It's the size of a postage stamp! And why didn't they tell me that on the phone when I called at 2? So they decided to take it for a drive after I called? Interesting. They said the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor with no response. A PURE BOLD FACED lie. I had it at my other mechanics and they were spongy. My car passed inspection no problem. So now I know these guys are not the wonderful. They are questionable. I refused to sign the waiver. Then on the way home I noticed a noise that WAS NOT THERE prior to me placing it in the shop. Did they "test drive it" over some speed bumps? Knock something loose? Kind of like if you complain to your waiter that the food is undercooked, they take it back to the kitchen and drop it into the garbage after they cook it some more? Bottom line: Do NOT tell a potential customer that calls a week ahead of time that you'll have the car diagnosed with in an hour. Do NOT tell a customer that it hasn't been looked at yet, but when the customer arrives say, "Oh

Finding a mechanic can be tough. For the past several years I've used a dealership, I honestly didn't want to have to search for a local shop after being burned in the past. I knew I was paying significantly higher prices than anywhere else (which was frustrating). I was also made to feel that they were "doing me a favor" by servicing my vehicle. It got to the point where taking my car in for a normal service or inspection was worse than getting teeth pulled without anesthesia. Finally I got smart, read some reviews on Yelp and made the leap to Tommy Carr. I called and the phone was answered by Nick, and he actually was polite and professional. I needed an inspection done and Nick said "no problem, when can you bring it by this week?". I was amazed, I had to beg to get an appointment weeks out at the dealership. The day before I received a text from Dereck to confirm my appointment, which was great because aside from living a busy life, I'm getting old and forget things! I dropped off my car about an hour after they closed. I was used to a drop box so I wasn't sure if I should just drop my key in the door mail slot. Luckily for me, there was someone still working on a car and he saw me. He came out and, I know this is getting old, but was friendly and professional and confirmed I could always use the mail slot but he would take my key from me. The next day I received a text with a link to report on my car. I then got a call from Dereck to let me know my car was done and they had some recommendations but they weren't sure if I needed them because they were based purely on mileage not on records of service (since they didn't have those). Not once was I pressured for anything. I picked up my car a few hours later, Nick was there and was quick to cash me out (which was cheaper than I was expecting). I'm sold on Tommy Carr and will make them my go to for all services in the future.

Woke up (may 14, 2022) to find a screw in my tire with low pressure when checked. Filled the tire up to the right level and checked around my area for the closet tire repair shop through the internet. Tommy Carr was closet and I've been there before without incident. There website said they open at 7am. Since the next closest didn't open till 8 and the worry I had on driving further then needed I went to Tommy Carr's. When I got there, around 7:45, the shop wasn't opened. I had to go home and fill tire up again before going to my second choice. Creamery tire, which had me in and out in minutes for $20 bucks.

I have been taking my car here for two years. One hot July day my AC stopped working. I was just about to trade my car in the next week. I naively thought a mechanic could do a short repair and have me out the door cheaply. When they told me how much a repair would cost I just couldn't justify fixing it for one week. It was a very reasonable price but I just didn't want to dump more money into a car I was trading in. They saw I had a baby in the car and they were kind enough to offer me a loaner car (no strings attached). I couldn't believe how incredibly nice, generous and hospitable they were. I tell everyone to go see Tommy Carr to get their car fixed.
