This is our credit union of choice. When we had a Financial Problem at a Store, they reverted the change the same day. I highly Recommend.

Online banking with this bank is one of the most archaic experiences ever. The security questions are dumb things like “what’s your favorite food”…which idk about you, but that changes monthly. Security questions should be factual. I was told to reset my password and finally found the link to reset it, now that i’ve reset it, i keep getting the favorite food security question. I made this bank account 9 years ago…I don’t remember what I put - but I can’t change it since I’m locked out of my account from too many attempts. Or so I assume. Now it just tells me log in failed everytime I try. Extremely frustrating when just logging in to your bank account is a battle with poor app/website management.

This morning I received a call from the fraud department because I had placed some online orders last night. 3 were quite close together so it triggered them to act.We were able to go over my transactions and confirm they weren’t fraud. I am personally very happy they do this as I have had fraud on my debit card at a previous institution that wasn’t as savvy.If you want great service and a group of folks that actually care about you and your money I’d recommend you give them a call.

Over the many years I've been a member, I have always found the staff to be prompt and courteous. The Loan Department, in particular, has always gone the extra mile to make sure the process was smooth and timely.

I have been a member here for many years! The weird thing is, I have also moved a ton and been out of state alot of the time. Everyone at this location has been amazing. Toni and Amanda have always treated me like family. If you are thinking about setting up an account you should!

I have seen and tried different strategies and methods even lost alot of money while trying. Let me say I have been with this credit union for many years. I have had the outmost respect for those who have worked with me and never had an issue until today! This has been the worst experience in the past 30+years as a member of the credit union! I had fraudulent activity on my card and because I know the person doesn’t mean they had permission to use my account which is why I took the steps I needed to to fight it! However the case is still open at first the credit union credited my account, then today called to tell me they were taking their money back and treated me like I am in the wrong or was at fault for this person using my information! I have never been made to feel like I was doing something wrong in a situation like this! They went from having my respect to making me feel ashamed to even go to the bank! If I was able to I would leave a 0 star review!! 30+ years you obviously don’t care about your members!

After banking with 1st Ed for more than a few weeks, I have come to realize this is the worst bank experience my wife and I have ever had. They are open terrible hours, they close and open early and late without notice. My debit card can not withdraw money from almost any ATM machine, and when you call nobody can give you an answer why. When money is deposited, they hassle you. Even if you have a balance of 40k, they will question a large payroll check and hold it. Overall, when an issue arises, they either don't understand how to fix it, or are simply unwilling to do so. 1st Ed makes banking difficult. In every way.Oh, but their auto loan rates are good... so.... ya.... Although, be careful there too. They tier based on credit, term, and auto year, but don't tell you this ahead of time.

1st Ed Credit Union is small enough to make it’s members feel like more than just a number but large enough to handle all your financial needs!! And the employees are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable!!

Not sure about the negativity regarding a local credit union here. This is not a large, national corporation. They are not going to have personal ATM's located around the county just yet. The customer service is great, the interest rates are beyond competitive, and the policies are fair. I have had a wonderful experience here compared to 2 other local credit unions in the area.

I switched to first Ed credit Union from a big city bank and I am so glad I did. Everyone is so personable and friendly, and they have the best rates around. Small town service and great rates I can’t think of a better place to join. I also didn’t realize that you can join this credit union if you are a member of church or social club (i.e. VFW, Eagles, etc.)
