The general customer service are ok. From a business perspective the F&M business account model [ fyi franklin link ] , fees , convenience, usefulness, ease of use, it's really under par versus regular expected online banking in 2023. I would not recommend unless they seriously re vamp that whole system. Unless you just have hours to waste to complete simple tasks and operation. Save yourself the headaches and high fees bank with someone else.Again the face to face operation is great, the phone operation is ok, the online operation is far behind and a big pain honestly only reason why they get a 1 star is because the painfulness of online op.

No reason to bank with them. Overdraft fees. Maintenance fees. Service fees. Don't forget the customer service. Probably better off talking to a wall. Chime is awesome!

Business Banking related not personal banking:We used to used F&M Trust as a community bank for our business and it used to be great, loved the folks at the windows and the branches, very personal. But, this past year F&M Trust migrated there Biz portal from there regular platform to the new business service ( The Frankin ....) , honestly it is a very sad platform. The new system does not have ease of integration from personal & biz anymore. The ease of connectivity between the portal and Quickbook is a pure headache, that cannot be trust it to transfer the data ..( If it connect, such that is ethic) .Furthermore, we were informed that if we would like to have more specific functionality added to this new ( Franklin portal) they would be able to add new features for a certain added cost. lol... really?Another down side to F&M Trust is the middle management, there are wonderful person, but in the past 5 years, I think that they are switching every year so they have issues in retaining there employees, to us it is sad because we cannot build any relationship as such that you would expect from a small local bank.Honestly, we have spoken several times to the management, but at this time it would be better for a small / middle size business like us to migrate our financials to a more stable bank like BB&T, (FYI) They charge a lesser fees with a more robust online system that connects better for a any business.We will miss the local tellers but not there online biz portal.Not recommending the Franklin business portal, it is very archaic, and not stable.

F and M took $12.50 in fees from a $14.50 decades old account while not paying a cent in interest to the account for at least a year. Of course the new fess were permitted by banking rules. But it's an issue of customer service and fairness. Do not bank here.

They suck. The rates are crap, service is crap. They are not competitive. Nobody there knows enough about finances to turn a profit without charging excessive fees to their clients. They hold deposits for days before making funds available. They try to take advantage of customers every chance they get.

My wife and I are very appreciative of the exceptional service we received at the Norland Avenue Branch of F&M Trust recently. Our F&M representative went the extra mile to help us every step of the way when an internet scam necessitated closing one account and opening a new one. We really like this "home town" bank service! Thank you!

Great bank !!! Friendly people,just hate their hours of closing I wish they were open till 5 every day for people who have to work before they're open and are off of work by the time they're closed!! Really makes banking with them suck
