Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable folks at AAA Davis Auto Repair. Their pricing is on-point as I had them replace both the alternator and the power steering pump on a 2005 Element EX. They discovered that the belt tensioner was not up to snuff and replaced it without increasing the total repair cost (a $180 value). All work was started and completed the same day. The vehicle runs like a top now.

Being charged for routine maintenance checks was not appreciated. Hoffman service did not charge for battery cleaning etc. no intentions to return

I've brought my SUV to AAA Davis for several tune ups now and have been very pleased with their service. Prior to my last check, I got an email stating they had not seen my vehicle in awhile. This was a great reminder and I loved that they sent a link to book an appt on line. I also appreciate that they offer drop off and pick up for those times when I can't arrange a ride when dropping off and/or picking up. On the most recent visit, they told me that expensive repair was needed. They were happy to explain the problem and pricing and assured me it was needed but not urgent. I really valued the information, since I will need to save up to get that work done. I definitely recommend AAA Davis Service Center. They are good communicators, do good work, and are honest.

This review is for my mother. She had a flat tire in her Prius yesterday, was able to limp to AAA. This was around 4:30pm, and apparently most or all of the technicians had gone home for the day. At first, AAA staff suggested my mother go to Goodyear, but my mother was afraid to drive on the flat tire any further (tire was nearly flat at that point). An AAA employee named Russ then put on the spare tire for my mother, even though he was working on another car. AAA also did not charge my mother for putting the spare on.A sincere THANK YOU to AAA and to Russ. My mother is mentally sharp but getting older, and she gets nervous driving even on four good tires.

Everyone here was very nice, but the quote they gave us for an alternator replacement was insane. Close to 1k- other shops quoted close to 500; lowest estimate I got was 380 but everyone else was less than half their quote. Even the aaa tow truck people who helped me tow my car to another shop were shocked by the estimate. Anyone I spoke to about it who knows cars saw it as it is- highway robbery. It was very frustrating to have our car towed here just to have it towed elsewhere so we didn't get super ripped off.

After a bad experience with a Nissan dealer I found the Davis AAA center a breath of fresh air. Very knowledgable, great communication, professional, work completed when promised, and all-around good experience. Whereas with Nissan I was getting information second hand from service desk people who didn't know or understand what was going on, at AAA I was able to talk to the technicians. As a mechancal engineer and restorer of vintage cars, I enjoy getting detailed information about what the problems are and how they are remedied. I will be back.

Very nice people but the prices are unreal. I got a quote to have my spark plugs changed in my car. They quoted $750 (including AAA discount). I called two different dealerships and they were both $350 and $390. I then called another local shop in Davis and they quoted me $250. I finally found Goodyear and they offered it for $235. I can see why the dealership would charge more due to their labor costs and OEM parts, but this place is by far double the costs! I even had them double check the quote and they said it was correct. It's unfortunate that I can't take my car here since they charge 2-3 times what other places want.

I had just gotten out of the doctor's office and had trouble starting my car. I've typically owned older cars with a reputation for durability. The yellow van guy ran his checks and verified my suspicion that the starter was no longer working. I knew that a dealer for the car's marque was fairly close by but I didnt want to go there. I asked him if there was a repair facility I could go to that wasn't part of a dealership, and he recommended AAA's auto repair center in Davis. A flatbed came for my car and me. There Hoffmann's staff said they'd be able to take care of the problem. I live in West Sacramento and they arranged a Lyft ride for me to my home. The following workday, the starter was replaced and my car was repaired ahead of schedule. I would recommend this place for any service needed by your car, routine or major.

This place used to be called Hoffman automotive and the same employees still work there. I've taken my car in dour separate times and each time have been treated honestly and friendly. I feel pretty comfortable with the shop and it does provide a 10% discount on labor with a AAA card. Each time I've been there they've sent me a link with all the repairs they recommend plus anything else that they found. I click on the link and I can review everything before I talk to him on the phone. Each time I've called they've honestly told me what they think is urgent and what is not. You can tell a lot about the honesty of a shop by the repairs they tell you you don't need to make.

Reliable service team! Replaced the spark plugs and super happy with the results. Don't forget to use your triple A emergency road side assistance card to get 10% off of labor.

Been taking my car here when they were Hoffman Automotive and they always fix my issues to my satisfaction. Matter of fact I need to take my car there now to fix my radiator.

I got my car towed into this shop. I was told I needed to have my battery and fuse box replaced- I was charged a total of $650. I am a young woman who needs a car to travel to and from work. My parents are not here in Davis to help me either. Considering I was in a bind and in need of help, I paid the total. I dropped off my rental car since I was told my car was fixed and ready for pick up. As I turn it on, my check engine light and four other lights are lit on my dash. Clearly, it was not fixed. Had they driven my car around the block for a final review before calling me, they would have noticed the lights on. They ran a quick test and let me know what the issue was and apologized for the inconvenience. No support or plan was given to fix this considering they had charged so much already. All I got was an apology. I was recommended to leave it when ultimately, I was probably going to be charged even MORE without the problem being fixed. Overall, unhappy with the way corners were cut (not driving it/inspecting before pick up). Feel they took advantage due to my age, gender and need for service. No longer returning.
