Not bad but not enough check outs open self service or actual checkers
The focus has shifted to having Walmart employees shopping for customers

This complaint is about the response of management of the Chambersburg, PA Walmart store, and Walmart Corporate, to a serious customer complaint regarding the behavior of a store contractor personnel 4 months ago – THERE HAS BEEN NO RESPONSE TO THE ISSUE RAISED!
On March 21, 2024, my wife (age 83 and uses a cane) and I (age 85) experienced a verbal assault from a young male security guard. I stopped my car briefly on the sidewalk (because the area directly in front of the store entrance was occupied), with engine running, so I could assist my wife from the store entrance to our car on that cold, blustery day. That’s when both of us were verbally assaulted by this unhinged individual while he was making a scene with 10-15 people present and photographing the front, back and inside our car. We wrote a detailed letter of complaint that day to the Chambersburg store manager. To this day (4 months later) it remains ignored.
We made two attempts to call the Chambersburg store, in early and mid-April. We were told that the store manager was on extended leave, and that the current acting store manager would file a complaint with the security contractor and let us know the result. As before, 3 months later, we have heard nothing. We wrote a letter to Walmart CEO, Doug McMillon, 2.5 months ago, describing the situation and total lack of response from Chambersburg Walmart. We received from Walmart Customer Care a “form letter” email response stating that they sent our comments to the Chambersburg store manager and that we should receive a response “within 3 business days”. That was over 2 months ago and we still have no response!!

Best thing that could happen to Chambersburg is close this location and put a Food Lion in or a better grocery franchise! I was just there tonight and first all
. I have a medical condition so I needed to use the Restroom and when I walked in there was 5 to 7 Walmart employees standing there acting like a bunch of hoodlums running the customers out of the bathroom due to their behavior and then I got a pizza, that i noticed was not safely sealed after I got home so when I went to bring it back, the guy watching the door was extremely rude to me and told me nothing I can do cause customer service was closed and told me to get over it so I will say this I will never in my life come back to this Walmart!

Never seem to have carts. Not as much selection as other Walmarts. Produce is lousy.

If I could give a negative rating, the negativity would be off the charts. Today is my last day of ever being in a Walmart store. In the town I live, the local store never has what you need. The customer service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced in all my living days. When you attempt to find someone to ask a question, they all scatter like roaches when you turn on a light. When you finally find someone to help, they either don't know what you're talking about, or it isn't within their "protocol", or guidelines. When you try to return something, they want the package, receipt, so on and so forth. The exceptions to their "protocol", are having a prominent name, or being an illegal immigrant. Prominence, and Illegal Immigrants, are the ones who are bowed down to like they own the company. It is unfair to the common man, or woman, who truthfully can't afford to shop at more expensive stores. I myself, will do without everything I could possibly need, before I ever set foot on Walmart property. From this day forward, I will go to my grave, not missing Walmart, but, more so regretting I ever shopped there.
