I’ve been a loyal Murphy Ford customer for over 20 years, purchasing multiple vehicles and always trusting their service team. Unfortunately, my most recent experience with my Ford Fusion has completely changed how I view this dealership.
In May 2025, I dropped off my car because it would not start after getting gas. I was told the likely issue was a purge valve replacement, but also informed that my extended warranty had expired in April 2024—despite Murphy Ford’s own service department previously confirming it was valid through January 2028. Their system even reflected the 2028 date.
What followed was months of being strung along. I spent countless hours chasing updates—sending emails, making unreturned phone calls, and visiting the dealership multiple times. While the purge valve repair was eventually covered, it took over three months to reach a resolution, which is completely unacceptable. By the time I finally received an answer, I was told that because the dealership was now under new ownership, they would not honor the warranty.
In the past, Murphy Ford stood behind their mistakes and made things right—that’s what earned my family’s loyalty. This time, they chose convenience over culpability, and it has cost them my trust and my business.
If you’re considering Murphy Ford—now Breneman Ford—be cautious. New ownership, but the same leadership, with a blatant lack of accountability.

Save yourself and go to any other dealer. The people and service here are just awful.

Seems like this dealership made a lot of assumptions about me based on my appearance. Made one offer to me of the online listed price and then did no negotiation beyond whatsoever. I’ll admit the counter offer I made was very low. However, I expected them to work with me and have something to come back with. Instead, they assumed that I could only afford the low counteroffer I made and tried selling me something else. I sent a follow up email and was sent AGAIN the internet price with no other message. Honestly just rude.

Severe conflict of interest seems to be going in this dealership. One the managers is running an auto brokerage business currently all the while tasked with customers money, personal information as tho he is a dealer member and not a broker. Wears two hats, how interesting.
What does that mean for you as a consumer? It means that at any time this manager can make your deal fall thru even if you have a deposit on the vehicle so that said manager can sell it to a customer thru his business and make a larger pay day.
Owners take a look into your managers. And if you condone this, it’s highly unethical business practice that not only damages your reputation but puts good people buying cars at risk of being in the middle of a get rich quick scheme.

(UPDATE): Please note that Murphy Ford did not respond to my post directly. Instead, they chose to reply to my wife in what appears to be an attempt to undermine our account. To avoid unnecessary frustration, I recommend taking your business to a different Ford dealership. As my experience suggests that Murphy Ford does not uphold sound business practices.
I took my car into get appraised. During the appraisal, the sales manager was involved in a car accident while I was at the dealership waiting. Murphy Ford has not apologized nor offered to repair my vehicle despite it being under the care of their employee. I have not been able to contact the owners or any higher ups from the dealership to discuss potential resolutions. I would strongly recommend to avoid this dealership. I would urge for anyone who is looking for car sales or repairs to utilize a different dealership. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Had my truck serviced with the works package at Murphy Ford last week- which includes oil change, tire rotation along with other maintenance services - The customer waiting area had two semi private computer work stations with free wifi, thus I was able to work remotely while waiting. Tim the service manager personally went over with me all the potential issues uncovered by the service technicians while my truck was up on the garage lift - he then detailed all the estimated costs associated with each repair which added to well over $1500 worth of work. With those repair costs amounts in mind, I then went a got my own estimates for just two of those suggested repairs at different auto repair shops and found that Murphy Ford's estimates for brakes and rear shocks replacements were at least 15% below the prices I got at the other repair shops

We took our Bronco for something that was supposed to be covered. What they don’t tell you( the lady at the counter let us in on something) is that if it is covered or a recall they put you on the back burner for when they don’t have anything else to do because you aren’t coming out of your pocket. So if you have a recall hope it doesn’t fail before they get to you. So we had to take the car there 3 different times and each time they did nothing. And when we said we were going somewhere else they said it was covered under the extended warranty. That is the first issue. 2nd issue each time they had to pick my mom up from work and each time she had to call because they forgot. 3rd issue is the lady at the counter went back on what she said about it being covered under the extended warranty and told us she said it COULD be covered and we had to pay. So you purposely put the car on the back burner because we didn’t have to pay anything then forget to pick someone up 3 different times and we ended up having to pay because their employees can’t be honest. This place is trash. We definitely won’t be giving them any business anymore. Guess they were able to do all those renovations from ripping people off. I see they take all the time in the world to comment on the positive reviews but aren’t reaching out to fix the negative ones.

Started the journey of buying a car here, the process was very long and drawn out. Got the typical “sales runaround” and took an hour just to agree on a number and by that time dealership was almost closed everyone left and we could not close the deal that day and had to drive 1.5hr to come back and get the vehicle. On the test drive we noticed some noises the vehicle had and salesman said no worries they will fix it and have it ready by time we came back to get it, fine no biggie. We drove 1.5hr back to pick the vehicle up on a Monday to find nothing had been fixed and the vehicle was not detailed. I had them re- detail it while we waited and went through signing docs. They assured us by signing a “we owe you” that the noises and broken interior components would be fixed and the salesmen even promised he would pick the vehicle up and drop it back off to get it done. Then the “ford cyber hack” happened and things were shut down for over a month they couldn’t do anything or get us in for service to fix it. We waited and waited service reached out to schedule but the salesmen was nowhere to be found to run the vehicle up and back like promised. Tried to get ahold and come to find out he has resigned and the dealership will not back my “we owe you” because it’s been over 30 days. BUYER BEWARE I WILL AND WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. I would not trust a word they say after seeing their actions.

We were last told by the sales people they were going to play with some numbers and give us a call. It’s been a month and we still haven’t heard anything. I guess they don’t want to sell us a car.

My check engine light came on about 8 months after I purchased my car from them. I dropped my car off June 5 to have it looked at, and 11 weeks later I still don't have my car or an answer as to what is wrong with it. I've barely had any updates. I have to call them two or three times before I get a call back. After 11 weeks I still do not have my car and I still do not know what is wrong with it.

I purchased a car from here back in June, they didnt file the paperwork that was needed for the payoff, and then they took another monthly payment from me for the car I traded in. Ive been on the phone with them for 8 weeks now trying to get my money back and they give you the runaround. Don’t buy your cars here, they scheme and will burn you at the end. Horrible dealership, buy your car somewhere else.
