I called at 525 a.m., no answer to the 24-hour operation. We came to visit, and my aunt was naked, and she was always in her room while most of the other pts were in the hallway being watched with 3 staff. The place appears to be just a holding spot until they die. There's never any activities when we're there. We show up randomly just because it's a mess there. The staff set as much as the patients. One time we went there and they told us she wasn't there. As soon as we got home and called family members, she appeared, so that was a missed opportunity to spend time with her. She had a Black eye and was very upset the last visit for what we were not sure about. Just know it wasn't my idea to place her there.

Please DO NOT trust them with your loved one. Came to see my Dad who is bedridden and was newly diagnosed with sleep apnea. He went there for rehab while I was away to get him used to using a by-pap sleep machine. Came back to find his door shut and him unresponsive. He ended up being intubated in the ICU with his CO2 level at 97%. If I had come in to visit he would’ve been gone. The doctor on call said that it was the first time he saw his dad and he didn’t know what He didn’t know what to do. I told him if it is your father, would you not want the doctor to at least fake empathy instead of sitting there saying I don’t know what you want me to do. They have no compassion nor the skills to deal with somebody who is bedridden or has serious issues, I wouldn’t leave My worst enemy in there alone. Patients are sitting out in the hallway and wheelchairs Alone, with no one interacting with them.

Staff are always very helpful and accommodating and try very hard to address concerns when presented. And the new Director, Tamela (I'm sure I'm probably not spelling her name correctly), but she is always quick to investigate concerns in a timely matter & get back to you. It goes a long way in relieving stress over your loved ones when you know others take their jobs, and patients seriously. They keep their eye on patients with special issues even if they have to let them sit at the desk with them as if they were part of their staff. Now that's attention to detail in a caring way. Thank you all very much!!!

My father was a Resident at the Belvedere for almost a year and a half after he had a stroke. We loved the care and attention he got. Everyone treated him like family and that helped him with his healing process.

The Belvedere has many very fine and caring staff. In my numerous visits I have never seen a staff member belittle or be unkind to a resident. I like the fact that they conduct monthly video meetings to keep loved ones updated. It also gives us a chance to see the faces of each staff member which is very helpful. I have appreciated all they have done for my "family" . I truly know that is not always easy. It has been particularly rough on everyone (staff, residents, and family members) these last 3 years ..the Covid years. My hope is that 2023 brings us all relief and good health.
