The service is some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Sometimes they just don’t answer the phone and when they do it’s like I’m bothering them. They don’t say bye they just hang up the phone after you tell them what you want. I love Manhattan Bagel, but this one I wish would get bought by someone else. TRASH

Called several times to place an order. No answer. Stopped at the store to order in person, and while waiting decided to call and see if the phone was not working. To my surprise it was ringing…the man behind the counter walked over, looked at the phone and ignored the call.

I have never been to this location, but I’m fascinated by the stories on here and NextDoor about the mean manager. If it weren’t just as easy to go to the Newtown Square location, I would try it sometime out of morbid curiosity.

Never ate here but I can tell it’s horrible by just walking in and checking out the staff and the menu food is trash

Bagels are great but the manager is not nice and kinda of a jerk… we have been going there for a long time because the bagels are so good but we have to face the manager who is grumpy and disrespectful… ! He should change his attitude or change job!

Drove almost 20 mins bc we enjoy Manhattan bagels. Funny bc my son commented that they only had 2 1/2 stars. Should have read the reviews before we went. If people keep telling you that you’re rude to your customers then maybe you should do something to make it better. Just treating your customers with basic common courtesy would probably be a good start. The counter person was frustrated bc we didn’t order online. And when we asked for the bagels to be cut, more attitude. They said they would do it but he would have to wait. He did for about 10 mins and finally handed a bag and was told they couldn’t cut them bc they weren’t hot enough. My experience it’s usually more difficult to cut hot bagels and breads?!? To top it all off they charged him for a bagel pack (which would include cream cheese) and all he got was a dozen bagels. Well folks all I have to say here is trust the reviews on this one unless you enjoy being ripped off and treated rudely.

Two bagels for $4.22? It's a robbery. This will be my last time visiting this store. The manager has always been charging hidden fees. And he is insanely rude, like all of the other reviewers noted. By the way, I checked Manhattan Bagel corporate site, a classic bagel for $1.49, Gourmet bagel for $1.69. No bagel was sold for over $2. And this manager is such a liar! last time we went to the store, he also charged $1 surcharge for fees. Unbelievable!

Going to this place has been one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The service here has been so fantastic. The workers are very nice and fantastic. It’s not just the workers that’s fantastic it’s the food. When I walk in I already know what I want to get. The bagels there are the best bagels I’ve e ever had in my life. The nice soft cream cheese and the perfectly toasted bagel is the most perfect breakfast in the morning. They have a very wide coffee selection. Their coffee is always hot and tastes very delicious. I would say that this is one of my top favorite breakfast places to eat at, so I think you should go and check it out.

I enjoyed my bagel it was one of the best I've had in a long tim just ï they had a toast it right and not burn it The lox was wonderful just enough on the sandwich

I have been going to the Manhattan bagel at least 2 time a week for the last 3 years and after todays experience I am done. The manager or owner at this store does not want your business. Every time I have to deal with him he is unpleasant. Today he took my credit card after I handed it to him and he just dropped it on the counter and walked away. Pathetic. Then I get home and there’s egg shells in my sandwich. It’s almost like he does it deliberately to discourage me from coming in because this isn’t the first time, I’m a regular. This guy should not have a store. The only thing good I have to say about this store is that the one Indian woman is really nice. If you have to deal with her you’re lucky.

Super shocked at the bad reviews. Had some time between our appointments and were referred to Manhattan Bagel. We ordered a plain bagel and Asiago bagel and they were delicious!! Friendly service and went to order bagels to go and they were kind enough to tell us the Asiago bagels were gourmet and would cost a little more. It didn't matter because they were so good!!

Terrible customer service. Went in at 12:45 pm on Sunday and it said they close at 2. Ordered and the employee came from behind the counter and grabbed my cup and told me I need to fill it up with the iced coffee I just purchased now because he is closing it down for the day. He filled it and took all the creamers without asking me If i was going to use any. He then proceeded to dump all the coffee’s in the sink and let them drain over an hour before closing. I stood in awe and honestly was too stunned to speak as I would understand if it was 20 mins til closing but it was over an hour away. He then proceeded to keep telling me he wants to go home and wishes the store was closed to which i did not respond. I received my bagel sandwich after and went to the car. I opened the sandwich and there was maybe 1 egg if that with maybe 1 piece of bacon (ordered bacon egg and cheese on a bagel). Would not recommend ever going here again as it was a terrible experience and a waste of money.

Everything you read about the manager/owner is true. Rude, lazy and a complete waste. Very excited for him to be out of the community, hopefully that day comes soonUpdate: Per the response from the "owner" below, I already emailed two days ago, and haven't gotten a response.
