Incredible stay! My husband and I were looking for a couple day get away and we’d often talked about Tara and decided to book it. I’m so glad we did! The staff were all fantastic and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our room was beautiful and cozy and dinner at Stonewall Tavern was incredible with top notch service. It’s a perfect place to just relax unwind and spend some time. Definitely recommend!

We went on a bus trip to Tara-did not stay the night. We toured Tara which is beautiful and the guide was very animated, knowledgeable and delightful. However, we were very disappointed in the food served to us. Nothing was very warm, the server acted like we were bothering her when asked for something or asked a question. I would not recommend for another bus group to eat there. Perhaps if you eat in one of the main dining rooms the food would be better.
Food and drinks: Don't go there on bus trip. Area is beautiful

Phenomenal venue for my sister’s wedding with beautiful gardens and landscaping. The fall colors and weather was spectacular.

We come here for our anniversary get a ways, a beautiful place, great service, the staff are always amazing and cater to every need! Stonewalls tavern is by far the best food ever! We come back here every year, never disappointed!

I spent the weekend in your Victorian Room. What a wonderful experience.
The service from the front desk staff was top notch. I wish I would have thought to ask for turn down service. I assumed it came with our weekend stay.
However, the property was a delight. There is plenty to do. Restaurant staff was friendly and accommodating.
My wife and I used your Billiards room and it was a delight. Terry the bartender was amazing. He served "mood changing" drinks that made my night on our final night there wonderful.
We also made quite a few friends from other guests there.
Thank you for a 5 star experience. We needed it.
We will definitely return.

We had a very pleasant dinner outside at Tara. Even though they had a wedding going on, William, the manager was willing to accommodate our request to eat in their inviting patio near the entrance.
Our server, Leslie, was first rate—- very accommodating and knowledgeable without being cloying.
The food also was good. My wive had the salmon and I had the special which was a skillet steak with three nice sized shrimp. Definitely worth the drive from Pittsburgh.
My only complaint, which I am not sure they can do anything about, is very loud road noise from trucks and motorcycles at nearby highway.

We had dinner at Stonewall Tavern. A busy night due to big wedding but were welcomed and not rushed. Betsy is a gem! She was welcoming- filled in helping staff, checking for water,rolls,clearing and just making sure we were good. She gave us recommendations and answered our questions. She also gave us a brief overview and told us to visit the 'Gun Room's. Not disappointed.
Debbie's was great server! Food was the best around! Fresh, hot, well seasoned. You can't go wrong! Monday- Thursday specials each night. Grounds are interesting.
We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We had such an amazing experience at the Tara Inn. It was like stepping back in time. The staff was lovely (especially our hostess Betsy from the restaurant). The rooms were each so unique-we stayed in the Katie O'Hara. Your package includes a sweet, little welcome basket including champagne. We lived our room- it was a bit warm at night for us, but we were able to get it closer to 70 before bed. The grounds were kept so nicely. We walked laps on the beautiful brick walkway around the property several times a day. The outdoor pool is a private, salt water pool with plenty of lounging chairs to give it a resort feel. Breakfast is included in the package, and guests have the option to stay in the room or go down to the dining hall. Tea, coffee, mini sandwiches, and desserts are served from 4 to 5 as lunch is not available on property. Overall, it was a fabulous experience, and we'll definitely be back.
Rooms: Rooms were each decorated differently with a vintage charm.

What an incredible time my wife and I had at Tara for our Anniversary this year!!! It was enchanting and honestly every moment was magical. The room was amazing with its own jacuzzi tub right in the bedroom. The food was spectacular. The high tea was romantic. The indoor and outdoor pool and sauna were heavenly and I even got to teach my wife how to play billiards in the billiard room!!! I cannot recommend Tara Inn enough. I own a media company and they are top at my list for sincere promotion.

This is one of those unique places, and it is about the experience and how different this place is compared to a normal hotel. Definitely cost more, but it's worth doing once. If you are old structures or into antique guns, it is a great place. Rooms make it special, too. Having dining available and a bar just makes it easier to just stay on the grounds and Having all your needs met. Being right next to Lake is just a bonus. All the staff was friendly and helpful.
