Great experience adopting through the rescue. Volunteers and fosters truly care and work hard to find good homes for their Aussie rescues. Very friendly.

This rescue thinks they know more about my dogs' care than my vet. I've only ever rescued dogs with no trouble at all. This rescue made us feel like we were inferior dog owners not entitled to adopt from them. I would not recommend trying to work with these people, it only leads to disappointment.

After searching for a rescued Aussie for several years, we had a great experience with this group. Our Aussie girl arrived in excellent physical condition & her behavior is improving. She is living her best life!

I put an application in for an Aussie 3 weeks before and didn’t receive any call or email back. Put in ANOTHER application and waited another week. Still no answer. Finally emailed them and asked about how long the process takes for an application to be answered. I got answered and was told I was denied. Not sure how she “remembered” or even “reviewed” my application within the 5 minutes between emails. I was denied due to the FOSTER mom requiring certain things that weren’t listed in the posting. The dog i wanted is deaf and they required me to have another puppy to show the dog how to be a dog, even though the dog is 2. They wanted a fenced backyard and my apartment complex has a fenced dog park. It was a waste of time hoping I’d get a dog I was extremely interested in just to be told no without talking or visiting or anything.

Got an emaciated Border Collie crossFrom this so called rescue. With Shady at best " vet" records. This rescue NEVER had this dog seen by a vet. This poor dog was in appalling condition .No rabies tag. Only seen once by a vet , from the people who surrendered him. Fixed by a family member, so this place would take him. Then transported via volunteers for free ...do what did the 400 dollars go for? No Vet visit, no chip, no rabies tag...this rescue adopted this dog out right off of transportation. They didn't spend one Red cent on this animals healthBut someone pocketed 400 bucks. This is a dog sale siteNot a rescue. Dogs not even an Aussie. They just want money

Put a adoption application in for a Australian Shepherd that I liked, and on the following Tuesday received a call from someone with the non profit organization about the application for adoption. After that got a email stating Thank you for the application for adoption. Was told that either another email or call would be next. Nothing like that ever occurred. This nonprofit is very selective. The person who makes the phone calls from New Spirit 4 Aussie Rescue reassures the individual that the application will be on file for a year. Who wants to be on pins and needles for a whole year. This place needs better help, because the individual s are Heartless.?

Don't bother to fill out an application if you live in Philadelphia pa you will be turned down because according to them aussie dogs are not safe or won't do well in the city talk about prejudice

Getting a response from rescues and shelters have been a struggle during this pandemic on top of being a first time adopter. Which I totally understand since there's an increase of people wanting to adopt and many places are volunteer based. But it gets very discouraging when there's no response at all. However, with NS4AR it have been a different story, Krista and Erin have been very quick to response to my emails about an aussie I was interested. We ended up not being a match but I was welcomed to reach back if interested in any new spirit dog that will be listed! This gives me hope to continue my search. Thank you Krista and Erin! :)

I found a great adult Aussie girl at New spirit 4 aussie rescue. She knew many commands , was house broken and gets along with my cats. We love this great addition to our family.

My girlfriend and I first applied for adoption at the beginning of October. A representative emailed me and said she was about to go on vacation (gave me a return date) and said she would email me when she returned. She did not email, so I emailed her to be told that she no longer works for the organization. I had to fill out another application. I filled out the application, the application was reviewed and they emailed me saying that my application was approved and to set up a phone interview. I told them that I would be available weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. They said that those times would not work for phone interviews. I gave them more times to call me. A week later, they have still not emailed me back.
