Didn't make much sense that there were cigars being given out and an area to smoke them by the fire pit but was told couldn't smoke cigarettes in this area. But vape pens were OK. Make that make sense when cigars are the smelliest. Pretty rude in my eyes.”

“Wife and I have never had a bad meal here. Not once. We've eaten here several times, the latest being last night for a Valentine's Day reservation with another couple. It's unbelievable how consistently good the food is here. It doesn't matter what you order, because whatever they bring out is excellent. The drinks, the apps, the main dishes - all delicious. Everyone I know says the same thing. Gnocchi con Guancia di Maiale / Paccheri della Casa / chicken parm / mussels and calamari. All 10/10.”

“I rented the Saturday Club as our wedding venue. Dennice handled the process of our rental perfectly, and when she was unable to give us a tour prior to renting, Lindsey was able to show us around. The building is great, and old as well. We hosted about 60 people at our wedding on a Sunday and it went great! Ruben, the event manager was awesome and even helped me with some quick panic breathing exercises right before the wedding ceremony. Also, for a nice building with a large kitchen for catering, the price was unbeatably low. Very well worth the money!”

“Our wedding at The Duportail House was amazing. They were one of the very few places that allow couples to bring in their own caterers. I am Jamaican and my wife is Ghanaian so it was very important that we had our traditional foods represented. Additionally, my wife loved the old century, rustic look of the house which flowed well with our wedding design. Kate, the Duportail's coordinator, made sure my wife had exactly what she wanted in terms of layout and seating arrangements. Stop by and see if it fits your needs. Our wedding comfortably seated our 65 guests.”

“I recently traveled to the area to attend the breakfast with Santa event. Not only did it run smoothly, but the breakfast was absolutely delicious! So many options to choose from, even my picky eater was satisfied! My personal favorite was the breakfast potatoes (I’ll be dreaming of those for weeks to come).Kathy made sure we didnt miss any of the activities, Brian checked in to see if we needed anything, and Chef Glickman and Colbert went out of their way to check in on how the food was. The staff was welcoming and patient, resulting in a wonderful event.I highly recommend! Totally worth the trip, if you aren’t local.”

“We used The Farmhouse at Peoples light for our September wedding, and they went above and beyond.Not only was food delicious, but they exceeded my expectations for my day. They went above and beyond with setting up any décor I provided, as well as adding additional touches like votive candles, etc.Richard and Dawn were very warm and inviting throughout the entire planning process, and open to answering any questions I may have had. After our day came and went, Dawn and Richard provided us with a personal touch gift drawing of the restaurant to frame and hang up. So thoughtful.Our day went off without any problems, and they were very accommodating in regards to weather changes and options as well.I would recommend using them for your wedding venue.”

There’s also a classic Irish pub that serves comfort food done well with local draft beers, a diverse list of spirits and both venues offer excellent service, wine list featuring old and new world wines while dining in comfort.I worked here as a teenager and have never stopped going. This is where we go to stay and eat for most special occasions. I highly recommend brunch, dinner, Happy Hour and the deck when weather heats up. “Located in the heart of the walkable Skippack Village, this classy but casual, rambling place was a lovely escape. Heading past the welcoming hostess to the to the Rathskellar for the danceable rockabilly and roots rock band Delcobilly, not quite knowing what to expect, I passed several large, pleasant, windowed rooms with tables and staffed bars. Descending the stairs into a place that was not at all cellar-like, I found a living area with beautiful, ornate, dark wood, carpeting, and several rooms flowing one to the other. From the bar, which had cushioned, backed, swivel stools and a couple of high top tables, you could see in one direction a room with comfortable sofas facing a fireplace mantel, and in another the room where the band had set up behind a small parquet-look composition dance floor. Off of those 2 rooms was a large, cozy room with café tables and chairs. Your choice of seating, no reservation. The plentiful staff was professional, personable, and attentive. People drinking anything from bottled beer to mixed drinks were treated with respect. The shrimp cocktail I ordered had the biggest, best shrimp I've had in many years, and came with a cloth placemat and napkin. You'll understand that I also must put in a word for the spacious ladies' room with its modern fixtures, yet wonderful old wood decor. Highly recommend this place where you can go, "ahhh", and forget about the outside world for a while.”
