When I came here 6 years ago, everything went fine. I take my next car there and I feel like they ignored it. My car wasn't looked at, they stuck a reader to my car( which I could do for free.) and that's not what I asked. I asked for them to look at my transmission, and they let my car sit for a week and a half without a word causing my new battery to die. Unless u have back up money, stay away from this place. I was told 3 different things each visit and now my car is worse. And my registration was missing out of my car, (which you had to search for). I had to ask who dug through my car. That's strange to me. BUT overall this palace ain't the same.....So whatever happen to this place I dunno, but they need to get it together. Weird service and only 2 nice employees, 1 informative one and an ignorant one. So go at your own risk. I don't question their expertise, I question the service.

They get 3 stars because I had 2 different experiences. My 1st car, a Chevrolet Impala needed a transmission and they quoted me a good price and the process went smoothly. No complaints.
A few years later I needed a transmission for my Lincoln MKZ and that was a totally different experience. I actually needed a loan and they set me up with this predatory loan, but it was needed so that’s not my problem with this situation. The loan was approved and the work was done but not in the time they told me. I drive for a living and told them this so every day that they had my car is more money I had to spend on rentals. This was a few years ago so let’s just say it took an extra week or two…Still not my biggest problem. When finally finished, I asked them if they test drove it on the highway and in the city, they just responded by telling me how many miles they drove and it was “good”. I drive the car around and it’s fine until I get on the highway and then shift’s erratically. I take it back to the shop, which I chose specifically because they offer a warranty on their work. They tried to blame me because somehow it had no transmission fluid when I brought it back and told me somehow I should have noticed or checked. They told me it was fixed, who checks transmission fluid every time they drive their car? Anyway, they took 3-4 weeks to fix it again after initially telling me a week. After the 2nd fix, the same thing happened. Another few weeks and they just ended up putting a used one in instead of rebuilding my original transmission. So 2 and a half months later and about 3K in car rentals on top of my transmission costs, I finally had my car and a lot of debt.

They treated me well and I felt good despite the little English I spoke. They tried to understand everything I told them and I was satisfied with the work.
I recommend it to those who want to go, but they don't speak Spanish and have to speak it a little or bring a translator, they do everything possible to understand. And you leave satisfied with the work.

TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE. Unless You Can Borrow A Car Or Are Willing To Pay For A Rental For 2+ Months. They Over Promise & Under Deliver.These People Have Had My Fiancés Car Since The End Of April- I Called 6/5 They Said They Were Waiting For Parts & That It Would Be Ready Monday Or Tuesday Of Next Week (6/12)- I Called 6/13 & I Was Told End Of The Week.- I Called Again 6/16 & I Was Told Beginning Of Next Week.- They Were Closed Juneteenth So I Called Tuesday 6/20 & I Was Told The End Of The Week Again.- I Just Called Today 6/23 & They Said End Of Next Week 6/30.- To Make It Worse They NEVER Once Called With An Update It Is Always Us That Has To Call. That Is Just Unacceptable.- Hopefully The Car Is As Good As New As Long As They’ve Had It.- After Calling My Car Dealer I Found Out That Some Transmission Parts Are On Backorder & They Are Quoting People 3 Months. They Need To Do A Better Job At Communicating With Customers About Delays.

I cannot express how honest, kind and thoughtful the owner and staff are at Mike's Transmission. My daughter bought her first (used) car from a local dealer and the transmission went in it 2 months later. We towed it to Mike's and asked his honest opinion on fixing or selling the car due to year & miles. The staff was honest, helped us weigh our options and allowed us to keep the car on his property while deciding. The pricing for new & used transmission he provided were extremely fair. We decided it was not worth fixing and the staff was more than understanding. Mike's Transmission will now be our family mechanic. Had them rebuild the transmission in my Acura a little over a year ago. They gave a very fair price. And even allowed me to supply them with stronger internals to bring its durability higher than stock. They’re a very friendly staff. And when I had a small sensor issue (didn’t affect drivability) they took care of it, no questions asked. I have nothing but positive things to say regarding the quality of their work and overall professionalism.Service: Transmission

2014 Chevy Malibu over here for a transmission got it back and it's in tip top shape it never ran better it actually runs better now than it did when I bought it with 25,000 miles on it. I now have 99,000 miles on it and the transmission the lights like it's on ice thank you

I can not recommend Ben and his team enough! While in town from Upstate NY our '92 Bronco starting bleeding transmission fluid on a Friday afternoon. The transmission needed to be totally rebuilt. They did an excellent job, kept us in the loop and even offered to pick us up from the airport (we ended up renting a car to get home and flew back to Philly the following week). If we were closer Mike's would 100% be our first stop for our vehicle needs. Plus they have the cutest receptionist around, Ozzy!Service: Transmission
