I spent $431 this morning for a trailer hitch and my car was left a total mess, with car parts thrown in my back seat, my belongings left strewn all over the back of the car.
I was not instructed to do any removal of items in back of car prior to the installation. My car is clean always, and organized!
When I picked it up, there was greasy finger prints all over the door and a scratch on the rear drivers side door. The items that were in the cargo area were NEATLY INSIDE A CARGO NET prior to installation and then when I picked it up they were thrown into the back seat. The heat cover for my muffler was also thrown in the backseat and into a storage container with my work files. When I picked it up, no one even had the common courtesy to tell me I had to have the cover replaced because of their incompetent installers.
I kid you now you couldn’t have made this piss poor customer service up! When I addressed it with “the owner” he said “of we should have told you to move your stuff. And we can’t put the cover back on!” Umm I just spent $430 on a trailer hitch and expect my car to be put back together in the same, if not better condition than you received it.
Such poor customer service, and no solution even offered, other than the “owner” said I have to take it to another mechanic to have it fixed! Are you kidding me?! Is this how UHaul does business?

This is the managers mansplaining response that glazes over their issues;
““Hi Rebecca this is Robert houses a general manager with the U-Haul and in the Comar just give me a call in reference to your concerns in reference to the hitch and saw you had yesterday yeah as far as the cargo area we do need that clear he has to put the wiring goes sometimes underneath and I have to move the panel there in the sides and I understand your concerns with him moving items and stuff like that going forward we are going to notify customers that they they need to clear that out before the installation so I do apologize as far as the extra part parts that were left in there anything we remove off of there those items are not to be installed back however we do give them back just to let you throw them out rather than have us throw them out we've had other customers that one of them for whatever reason so anything it comes off the vehicle we do put back in the vehicle for you to determine if you want it or if you want to discard it usually it's just trash once again thanks for bringing it to your attention and I'm sorry you felt that you know a certain way we always like to have people excited about their hitch installation and what they're gonna do with a towing your a bike rack play anything else I can do just give me a call 215-822-8080 thank you very much bye…”

Hopelessly futile customer experience. Just needed to rent a cargo van to move some flooring. Go into the store and was told they have no availability for the cargo vans despite four units sitting on the lot. Okay, I understand there may be reservations. So I go on line to U-Haul to find another location for the cargo van. Turns out I was able to reserve the van on line from the location that told me they had none available. So go back into the store and wait and wait and wait while their single customer service rep accommodates a huge line of people. When we finally get to the counter we’re told they don’t have one available and don’t know why it’s letting us reserve one. After a brief back and forth she gives us the van. Just astoundingly confusing and frustrating experience. I only gave it two stars because the woman behind the counter was pleasant despite everything else other wise it would be a one star rating.

Colmar U Haul makes truck rental easy, quick, and convenient and that was with only partially utilizing the app ! And the check-in post use was great also. Of course I did follow the instructions and filled the gas tank to the designated level and swept out the back of the truck.

Great service! One of the best uhual locations I’ve ever visited. The manager and is team is very friendly and professionals, they had my propane filled up within minutes and even went above and beyond after my propane truck won’t start after refill due to a dead battery and blown fuse! Spared me a fuse and tools to change my battery, god bless the manager wish him nothing but success health and wealth! Check this location out for all your needs of transportation rentals equipment rentals and or propane and other services that they provide they will get you right! All of their equipment is super clean and new inventory that’s ready to hit the road as for what I’ve seen!

Last stop on a 2,900 mile move. My three U-Boxes were shipped here a week ahead of time. Robert and team were very helpful and accommodating when I called to schedule a pickup and trailer to self-tow my U-Boxes for unloading over three days with them swapping the boxes in between. They had all of the equipment ready at the scheduled time and made sure everything was safe and hooked up properly. They even loaded the boxes in the exact order I had requested.
One day there was a shortage of forklift staff to swap them, they told me the night before with an estimate when it would be ready and followed through with a phone call the next day to confirm it was good to go (on time per the estimate). Who returns calls these days?
I could tell it was an unconventional situation but they handled it professionally and everybody was very personable. I was very pleased with the experience and it really made the unpacking process much easier.
