“I have been bringing my cats to Patton since 2009 when I moved to PA. I have had dozens of cats seen there. Both my own and also cats/kittens that I have fostered. I've been there for everything from a routine appt, to having to put an animal down. The staff have always been caring and professional. I love the fact that they built a seperate cat wing. It is very calming for cats (and cat parents!) to be away from barking dogs and general chaos. The rooms are equipped with places for kitties to hide and also climb. I moved 45 min away from Red Lion in 2020. I would rather drive that distance than take my cats anywhere else. The doctors always take the time to answer your questions and go over treatment options. As an RN, I take my vet choices as seriously as I do the choices I make for my human family's care-if not more! I highly recommend Patton Veterinary Hospital!”

“The best! We drove almost 5 hours to Dr. Pierdon's clinic, and it was absolutely worth it. He listens, cares, and is extremely communicative about his thoughts on what's going on as well as the results from testing. He quickly pinned down a serious ongoing issue we had been having and developed a supplement and vaccine protocol specific to our hogs and operation. Further, the rest of the staff is A+++ in helpfulness and customer service. Not only did we learn A LOT and fix the issue...we also drastically improved our operation with Dr. Pierdon's help. All the while, we were treated as if we had been long term clients through the whole process and they handled our case professionally and with a sense of urgency. I recently needed quick refills on meds and Doc was so accommodating on getting them filled for me. He has a vast knowledge of domestic animals and will go out of his way for their care and comfort. He personally cares for them as if they were his own pets. Whether it’s a sick visit or well care, the staff at this office treats you kindly and with concern. We travel an hour 1 way to this office and it is a well worth the trip. Best veterinary services we’ve had!”

“There was a negative post on nextdoor about Hempfield Animal Hospital which I believe has spurred some of the recent negative reviews on google. I've been taking my cats to Hempfield Animal Hospital for years and they have always been wonderful. We just took one of our cats on Wednesday this week for her yearly check-up and shots. Dr. Purvis has never been unkind to us. She can be quite serious when advocating for the health of your pets, but never rude. She has always worked with our cats' best interests at heart. When one of our cats suddenly got sick in January she was very kind and followed up with us by phone several times. Even after he passed at the animal hospital in Malvern she called us to check on us and the entire staff signed a card with their condolences. They all remember our cats names and personalities even if it's been a year since their last visit. They all seem to genuinely love animals.”
