“One of our rabbits was not doing well and when we needed an appointment quickly. We found out our current vet was no longer treating rabbits. Pleasant Valley was recommended to us so my husband called and we were able to get an appointment today. I brought our bunny in and she was seen by Dr. Kline. While in the office, very sadly our rabbit passed as she was much sicker than we realized. It was heartbreaking for me and I was trying not to completely break down. Dr. Kline and the entire staff were amazing! She was so gentle and kind with "Alfalfa" and kept saying how sorry she was. She answered all my questions and gave me all the time I needed, never making me feel rushed. I had never been to this office before yet felt so comfortable.I was not charged for the visit and that was such an incredibly kind gesture at that moment. Thank you Dr. Kline and staff of Pleasant Valley. You helped make a very sad day just a little more bearable with your kindness.”

“HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!I have a 12 year old calico cat, Honey, who means everything to me. Last week, (three days before I'm set to go out of town) Honey started to look unwell. Honey is established with a different local vet but that office isn't open on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.I came upon VCA Emmaus's website and I was thrilled to see they allowed online scheduling of appointments! Even for new patients who had never been to the office before!So, Honey and I rolled up to the office on Friday at 8:00 a.m., with no medical history, paperwork or records from our usual vet.I expected this to be an issue but they proceeded with the history I was able to give them and just focused on helping my cat. Dr. Blair Mitchell, DVM and Stephanie the vet tech were amazing!I just couldn't believe how kind, respectful and just plain nice everyone was! Another thing I really appreciated... the office was very up front with me about what each service or test was going to cost. This information was offered to me in a zero-pressure and non-judgmental manner.I work in healthcare (for humans) and I found myself wishing more human medical offices worked like this veterinary office. I am so grateful for the help and kindness VCA East Penn in Emmaus extended to me and my cat Honey.”

“Unfortunately I had to say my goodbyes (my see you soon) to my precious boxer yesterday. Everyone there was so nice and patient with my baby and myself. They sure made such a hard decision as easy as possible for her and for me. They made her so happy with treats and talking to her making her comfortable with them touching her. I never left her side for one second, they worked around me. I was never asked to move aside, in fact the one girl said “ you stay with her I can squeeze in small spaces “ after I asked if she needed me to move. “THOROUGH is an understatement. Dr. Kara Ballek took care of my first mini schnauzer and was able to diagnose him with Addisons when he was with his former parents before I adopted him. Addisons requires a lot of care and she provided a treatment plan that worked great with my lifestyle as a first-time-dog-owner. Even though Creekview Veterinary Hospital is out of the way from where I live, I continue to take my current mini schnauzer puppy to them because of how thorough they are and how reasonably priced they are. Kara will go through pricing, treatment options, and give you options for special programs from vet drug manufacturers. Her prices for flea and tick medications come within a few dollars of major online retailers and her wellness visit medical exam fee has not increased in the 5 years I've taken my dogs to her. Which is not the case for almost any other vet in the area. She also provides a dropbox for you to leave your stool sample if you're like me and always forget to bring it to the appointment. She also has a pickup box for medications that need to be picked up after hours or on days they're not open. On top of that, her team is constantly monitoring email. I have asked so many ridiculous first-time-dog-owner questions over email and her team is always prompt and respectful in their replies. They'll give the best advice for your animal!”
