“One of our rabbits was not doing well and when we needed an appointment quickly. We found out our current vet was no longer treating rabbits. Pleasant Valley was recommended to us so my husband called and we were able to get an appointment today. I brought our bunny in and she was seen by Dr. Kline. While in the office, very sadly our rabbit passed as she was much sicker than we realized. It was heartbreaking for me and I was trying not to completely break down. Dr. Kline and the entire staff were amazing! She was so gentle and kind with "Alfalfa" and kept saying how sorry she was. She answered all my questions and gave me all the time I needed, never making me feel rushed. I had never been to this office before yet felt so comfortable.I was not charged for the visit and that was such an incredibly kind gesture at that moment. Thank you Dr. Kline and staff of Pleasant Valley. You helped make a very sad day just a little more bearable with your kindness.”

“THOROUGH is an understatement. Dr. Kara Ballek took care of my first mini schnauzer and was able to diagnose him with Addisons when he was with his former parents before I adopted him. Addisons requires a lot of care and she provided a treatment plan that worked great with my lifestyle as a first-time-dog-owner. Even though Creekview Veterinary Hospital is out of the way from where I live, I continue to take my current mini schnauzer puppy to them because of how thorough they are and how reasonably priced they are. Kara will go through pricing, treatment options, and give you options for special programs from vet drug manufacturers. Her prices for flea and tick medications come within a few dollars of major online retailers and her wellness visit medical exam fee has not increased in the 5 years I've taken my dogs to her. Which is not the case for almost any other vet in the area. She also provides a dropbox for you to leave your stool sample if you're like me and always forget to bring it to the appointment. She also has a pickup box for medications that need to be picked up after hours or on days they're not open. On top of that, her team is constantly monitoring email. I have asked so many ridiculous first-time-dog-owner questions over email and her team is always prompt and respectful in their replies. They'll give the best advice for your animal!”

We followed Dr. Betz from a previous office.She’s a healthy 15 y/o because I take pride in her health.Dr. Betz recognizes my passion & dedication to do everything WE can. I admire her for making my visits feel more like a team discussion.She listens to every detail.I recently transferred my 2 cats that have completely different personalities around strangers, not one hiss from either of them during their routine vaccine visit.The waiting room is always peaceful, and the front desk is calm, friendly & approachable.(Thank you Doug & Brooke at the front for your patience and for following up with any question, returned call, or email response in a timely manner)This entire office deserves the same big hug, not just Dr. Betz.I believe the hours were recently extended & a new vet was added to their team to help more pawrents receive medical care for their fur-babies without waiting for weeks like other vet offices.Come prepared, ask your questions, listen to your vet, understand that this staff is here to help, and don’t be afraid to ask more questions.”

“Unfortunately I had to say my goodbyes (my see you soon) to my precious boxer yesterday. Everyone there was so nice and patient with my baby and myself. They sure made such a hard decision as easy as possible for her and for me. They made her so happy with treats and talking to her making her comfortable with them touching her. I never left her side for one second, they worked around me. I was never asked to move aside, in fact the one girl said “ you stay with her I can squeeze in small spaces “ after I asked if she needed me to move. “Integrity is doing right — even with no one around to witness it. This practice had a prime opportunity to perform work that wasn't necessary, as I had explicitly (and ignorantly) requested it! Instead, I was gently informed during the diagnostic phase that the full procedure would not be necessary after all, and ended up saving a ton of money. This is not typical of most of my experiences with vets and demonstrates a deeper respect for both the patient and patient's caretaker than I expected. Furthermore, Dr. Freeby managed to convey more empathy in a single 10-minute meeting than all of my previous vets combined over hours. Went to another vet two days ago and wasn’t satisfied with what the service. Dr tan went above and beyond to get my cat some answers on her situation . My situation doesn’t look good but I’m happy the doctor is trying to get me answers. Vet tec Michelle was great as well. Very polite and knowledgeable. I saw some people complain about prices but for all the meds and tests my cat received I was surprised at the low price I paid”

My only critique is that there's only one vet, so when they're closed for vacation, you do need to have a backup plan, but there's always plenty of notice and reminders to make sure you pick up any prescriptions ahead.Priced a bit higher than some other local vets but the office and staff are great.”

“Last Sunday my girlfriend and I got the most adorable puppy in the world. Sadly a few days later he came down with Parvo. The staff here was beyond amazing throughout the hole process. He was under their care starting on Thursday until Saturday. At that point the recommended a 24/7 facility do to the severity of our little guys disease. Long story short, Jax's parvo never got better and we woke up to a call today saying he became septic as well so today we had made the hardest choice of our lives, and put him down. If you are looking for a vet who truly cares about your pet- and their well being this is the place to go. They are not in it for the money at Alll, they are a staff who truly care about their patients. You could hear the disappointment in their voices when we called and told them the news. I am very grateful for the care they gave Jax while he was with them, and whenever we decide to try the puppy thing again- this will be our go to place.”
