DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE. Not a kid friendly environment, the customer service was awkward and rude, the workers were sitting down and looking at their phone in plain sight. The coffee was eh. I was so excited to check this place out due to good reviews, and was very let down by my experience, I should have also checked the bad reviews. It was also dirty. Not coming back.Kid-friendliness: Absolutely not

Terrible customer service. Employees are self rightest and rude. Twice I was treated with bad attitude.Don't bother. It's all part of the experience.

The customer service here is horrendous. Stopped in a few times and each time, I’ve felt like I was inconveniencing the staff member by placing an order. The attitudes are awful and negative. I will be taking my business down to the Queen Beans Cafe right down the road from here. Their staff is amazing and positive, plus their drinks are way better!

This was my first experience inside the shop. Last weekend we got coffee to go and it was great, that I was looking forward to enjoying coffee in the shop this weekend. The customer service today was not very friendly or inviting. Honestly don’t feel the need to go back because of that.

We love Anchor & Anvil! The coffee is delicious, I really like the different flavors offered. My daughter also works there as a barista and thoroughly enjoys it.

Coffee is good and the space is OK, but nothing special. I've been a few times and each time the music is turned down really low so it's super quiet in a big space. It's also fairly dark inside (I thought it was closed when I last walked up) and the men's bathroom clearly doesn't get cleaned very often.

I love this place and we go frequently but the staff is terrible. I normally don’t write reviews but it’s bad enough to acknowledge it. They don’t acknowledge you when you walk in and act like any order is extremely inconvenient for them. It does not surprise me seeing all the recent negative customer service reviews as of late. I hope this can change because I love their coffee & food.

The coffee is excellent and by far the best game in the area. The space is great as well. Nothing fancy but well done and what you want in a coffee shop whether it’s to go or need a place to chill. The parking in the morning is super easy. I’ve never had to park more than 20 feet from the door. Haven’t been later in the day.Small selection of food but I’ve never tried any of it so no thoughts there. The service is decent maybe a little slow if there is more than one customer. I’ve never seen more than one employee so they sort of have to do it all. Can feel slow if they are making a food item and coffee ahead of you but not bad. Don’t think it has ever been more than 5 minute wait. I will say it isn’t friendly. Not unfriendly at all just all business. I am here 2-3x per week and if you just want an excellent coffee and to roll out without a convo that’s what ya get.

If this place didn't get Oram's donuts on Saturdays it'd be dead. The coffee is okay and it's a really nice location (Coraopolis) but the staff doesn't really seem to care about whether or not they work there. If there's a lull people coming in they just stand around on their phones while tables sit dirty and sidebar for cream and sugar is a mess. They're neither friendly or unfriendly, just uninterested. If you order hot food it'll come out cold from time to time so check before you bite into it. If you say anything about it they will correct the mistake but they make it feel like such a non-issue. No willingness to be better.I'm not expecting fake happiness and ass kissing. Just some actual effort. I'll wait a few more weeks before going back again.

I'm a fan of good black coffee, and not a fan of over-roasted coffee from that one massive chain. Anchor and Anvil has excellent coffee, and additionally a great selection of whole beans for purchase from a variety of roasters, some local. It's usually easy to find close street parking. The atmosphere is fine; clean and a bit minimalist. Service is polite and professional, but not particularly friendly, and at times borderline indifferent. Maybe it's friendlier of you're a regular who hangs out?

I stopped by here early on a workday, before heading to a nearby meeting. When I first walked up, I thought it was closed, as there was no one there, I didn't see anyone behind the counter, and it seemed the lights were off. However, when I walked in, I saw the staff sitting in the corner. I would have loved to see this place during peak times, as it did seem like it had plenty of seating and some couches to hand out on. I ordered the cookie table latte and it was decent; a fun treat to start off an early work day!

Went here with my boyfriend for breakfast and the staff was beyond rude. The coffee wasn't that good which I can get over, but the service was even worse. They barely spoke to us and when we asked questions, it was a hassle for them to even acknowledge our existence. Definitely don't recommend- we found a nearby Dunkin and was far more satisfied.
